"Are you all prepared?" Kael asked as he took a deep breath.
His voice was calm, but the weight behind it could be felt by everyone present.
Steampunk adjusted his monocle slightly and gave a small nod.
"We have prepared to the fullest from our end," he said, and then shook his head faintly. "But as you know, in such situations, no preparation is enough."
A brief silence followed.
The air grew heavier, and no one spoke.
Everyone understood what was coming.
