I did it! I did it! I really fucking did it! There's no way! I did the impossible; I am free!
I thought as I rapidly closed the door.
I felt more enthusiastic than ever; I thought I would've had to beg her for weeks on end, bringing up all sorts of possible excuses needed to convince her, yet she agreed on the spot, on my very first attempt.
Maybe she thought, just like the uncle, that spreading as many of my weapons as possible was a good preventive measure for my safety. Still, it must've been a tough pill to swallow; usually she would argue with him even if he were right.
I can't believe she agreed to it so easily… I can't wait to tell my uncle; soon I'll be renovating my room. I can already imagine a new TV; maybe I'll get a whole new collection of video games… I could get some cool new gadgets; I could get some instruments to learn.
The possibilities were endless; I was imagining myself playing an electric guitar, playing a flute, knowing how to draw, having new clothes, and having a new pet.
"Young master, where are you going?" The maid with cat ears asked me as we walked past my bedroom.
Her sudden appearance made me jump on the spot. I couldn't detect her presence at all; it was as if she had materialized by my side.
"Where else? To my uncle's!" I replied after I recovered myself from the scare.
"I have to relay the good news."
"Young master, isn't it pretty late for a visit? Dinner is going to be served in a few minutes; wouldn't it be better to postpone this to tomorrow morning?" She suggested as she straightened her clothes.
You make a good point, but counterpoint… Who knows when I'll be able to see him again? Because of his work, he's often traveling, meeting people, or just overseeing production or shipment of weapons.
Just like my own mother…
No, he's better than her; at least he brings his kids with him if what he has to do isn't too dangerous. My mother would rather die than bring me into the Fracture with her.
As we kept walking through the corridor, we stumbled on Elena; she had just gotten out of her room, accompanied by her own personal servant, much like me.
We spent a couple of seconds staring at each other; she glared at me as usual with an unlimited amount of contempt. Her disgust with me was palpable; all the negative feelings she had about me were slowly leaking out of her body.
They were so strong I could visibly see them, like some dark mud, constantly expanding. They soured my taste; there was something about those emotions that made them taste vile compared to those of the noble I bullied.
You… Don't worry; soon I'll be able to move out, and by then you'll no longer have to see me.
I didn't know where all that hatred came from, but it felt nauseating; it made some really viscous sounds all around, yet the two personal servants around me and her didn't seem to notice it.
Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do so wrong to piss you off like that? If so, please tell me; I would love to just keep pestering you without end.
I was about to speak up but then convinced myself it would've been a pointless argument, so instead, if she hated me that much, I would've given a real reason to hate me.
I quickly gathered my power to transform; more specifically, I summoned the angelic form. The butler was quick to react; he took Elena and dragged her away from me and behind himself.
I could feel the tension rising; the butler was worried. He too was feeling some fear. He was worried; he had doubts, but they quickly cleared as soon as he saw that I was preparing to attack.
This is the last chance I'll give you; turn away, go crawl under your bed, and stay there. Otherwise, I'll make you regret ever agreeing to come here. I'll make sure your every day is as miserable as it could be. I'll fucking end you with my own hands if necessary.
I managed to create a couple of really small needles made out of light. I then shot those two in opposite directions, changing their trajectories midair to avoid the butler, but he was able to deflect them both.
"What do you think you're doing?" I yelled.
Damn, how come whenever you call us, it's one of these hopeless situations?
The angel complained as he yawned, his small invisible figure floating right beside my left shoulder.
"Okay, young master, we're done here; you've caused enough trouble for the day." The maid behind me said as she wrapped her arms around me from behind me.
"Huh? I'm not anywhere near done with that little shit, not until I've—"
"Young master!" The maid raised her voice as she lifted me from the ground.
"If you were to cause trouble right now, your mother may revoke the permission she granted you mere minutes ago." She whispered in my ears.
"There's no way she would—"
"Are you sure about that?" Her stern tone felt like a stab in my heart.
Those words stung. I thought some more about them and came to the conclusion it wasn't worth causing too much ruckus now, so I stopped resisting.
You should listen to her; she probably knows your mother better than you, and I'm not saying this as an insult. I am aware she was rarely at home taking care of the family.
The angel joined in the conversation on the side of the maid.
Tch!
I reluctantly lowered my arm and undid the transformation; the angel vanished before he could add another impertinent comment.
"Next time, stay holed up in your little room; you're not welcome here." I shouted out loud for everyone to hear.
I didn't care if it could've put me in trouble; if I couldn't hurt her physically, I would've used any method possible to make her life miserable so that way she would end up begging to leave this place on her own.
The maid hurriedly kept pushing me away from them and down the flight of stairs until they were no longer in sight.
We were headed to the living room where dinner was currently being served; my father was already seated and was patiently waiting for the rest of us to show up.
He was dressed in gray pajamas.
He didn't seem happy at all; he had a grim expression on his face, one that only worsened once our eyes met.
"Why did you treat her that way?" He asked me.
You too?
"She started it," I replied.
Why are you both taking her side? Why aren't you telling her to stop? Why are you both taking it out on me?
"That's not true, and you—"
Why does everyone suddenly jump on the defense of the girl that tried to kill me? Do you want to see me dead that badly? Is that what you want?
I tried getting up to get away from that conversation, but the maid stopped me; she placed both hands over my shoulders and forced me to sit back on the chair.
I glared at her while my father's rambling was getting more and more heated. The longer I ignored him.
"Get your hands off of me before I cut them off." I warned her as I was preparing myself to transform right there and then.
"Lucifer! That is no way to talk to—"
"I don't care! Ever since we came here, all you've ever done is keep defending that bitch! While all she ever did was torment me and tried to kill me!" I shouted back.
In a fit of rage I managed to create a floating sword made out of light and targeted the arms holding me down.
The maid was quick to jump away before her arms could get cut off.
"Lucifer!" My father's shout echoed throughout the house; he was furious, food smeared all over his body and face.
Not wanting to keep arguing with him, I decided to head towards the door.
"Where are you going?" My father yelled once more.
"I'm not hungry; since you care for her so much, I won't ruin your precious moment with your new daughter." I replied as I placed my hand on the door, but the door wouldn't budge.
"I haven't—"
In the meantime, I transformed myself and created a large cube made out of light to break through the door. All the servants behind that door were blown away by that attack.
"I'm not interested in your excuses. If your servants even try to stop me, I'll kill them, every single one; I'll set this whole house on fire." I yelled back.
It's not like you're going to listen to me anyway.
The many servants blocking the door were sent flying away; some of them recovered quickly, some others weren't as lucky, and now the stench of fear had filled the hallway.
"Young master, where are you—"
Before the maid could finish her questions, I sent the cube flying her way, then made another one to break through any locked door until I finally got out of that stupid mansion.
Then I took off and flew towards the uncle's house.
