Her voice trembled.
Weiwei stopped several steps away.
"I'm Xia Weiwei."
Han Ru continued staring at her.
"You look exactly like her."
"I've been told that."
Mo Shian remained beside Weiwei but did not approach the woman.
Jiang Tao closed the door, leaving the four of them inside.
Han Ru slowly sat down again.
"I'm sorry. For a moment, I thought…"
"It's alright."
Weiwei took the chair opposite her.
"This is my husband, Mo Shian."
"I know who he is."
Han Ru looked at him cautiously.
"Mrs. Han Ru," Mo Shian greeted.
"You don't need to call me that. I haven't used the name Han Ru in years."
"What name do you use now?" Weiwei asked.
"Han Mei. I changed it when I moved to Lin City."
"Which name would you prefer?"
The question appeared to surprise her.
"Han Ru. That is the name your mother knew."
"Then I will call you Aunt Han."
Tears gathered in Han Ru's eyes, but she quickly looked away.
"You should not trust me so easily."
