Dante and Vexion walked in silence, with Vexion staying close behind him, her hand lightly clutching the edge of his robe. She had grasped the essence of her mission, and she couldn't help but love it. This was exactly the kind of task that suited her.
Her master played the role of a polite and mature boy before his parents, but his vicious and uncaring nature was something only she and a select few had ever truly seen. It was part of what made him so utterly captivating to her.
Dante took about thirty steps before he pointed downward. Space trembled, and suddenly, the outline of the world appeared beneath their feet, shimmering. The vast, sprawling lands of the Dark Elves stretched below them, the first kingdom resting at the edge of his fingertip. "That's the first kingdom that belongs to the Dark Elves," he said smoothly. "You know what to do. So don't worry to much— unless you encounter a Mystical Being, nothing here will be a threat to you. No one will know anything. I've used a skill on you"
Vexion nodded and prepared to step through the space-rift when Dante called out to her. "Vexion."
She halted immediately, looking at him expectantly. He turned toward her, his blue eyes sharp and unyielding.
"I didn't choose you, or did I train you, to be incompetent, weak, or reckless enough to get injured in battle. And I didn't put all this effort into training you just so you could become some damsel in distress."
His voice was calm, but there was a distinct weight behind his words. "You know by now that The task I've given you might be difficult, but it should be simple for you than for anyone else. Don't fail me. Don't embarrass me. Don't get injured. And most importantly—don't die on me. Understand?"
Vexion, momentarily frozen, felt warmth spread across her face as she blushed deeply. To an outsider, his words might have sounded cruel, but she understood them for what they were.
He had faith in her—immense faith.
And he wanted her to live, to grow, to thrive. She knew that while she was to be his sword in battle, she was also meant to serve him in every way he desired. She had the ability to do both. No—she was made to do both.
Lowering her head, she bowed deeply, her voice laced with pride and joy. "I understand, Master."
Dante gave her a satisfied nod before opening a rift in space. Without hesitation, Vexion stepped into it and disappeared from sight.
Dante exhaled slowly, watching as the portal sealed itself shut. Then, clicking his tongue, he muttered under his breath, "Tsk. Emotions are so damn annoying."
He folded his arms, his expression darkening as he mused to himself.
'Protagonists in novels always get tangled up in nonsense because of women who exist solely to make the main character look like some ultimate chad. I don't need or want that. She should even be capable of escaping from a True Sage if necessary.'
A slow, knowing smirk spread across his lips.
'Vexion really is my masterpiece . Only a few years under my training, she has nearly caught up to the strength it took me four years to attain, despite my training under my monstrous siblings too. If I weren't alive, she would undoubtedly rise to become one of the ancient beings who stand atop the world in the future.' His smirk widened slightly.
'Or perhaps… she already is something beyond comprehension. I just haven't realized it yet.'
Dante shook his head, sliding his hands into his pockets as he strode forward with an air of casual confidence.
The vast expanse of the darkened sky framed the towering castle ahead, its spires piercing the heavens like fangs of an ancient beast. The structure loomed over the landscape, its obsidian walls shimmering under the moon's pale glow, exuding both magnificence and menace.
Massive iron gates sealed the entrance, adorned with intricate runes pulsing faintly with protective enchantments. Before them stood a regiment of guards—battle-hardened warriors wielding epic-tier skills. Their very presence radiated dominance, each one more than capable of razing armies on their own. Yet, to Dante, they were nothing more than scenery.
Moving seamlessly within the folds of the 1st and 2nd layers of
A smirk tugged at Dante's lips as he took in the grandeur of the palace before him. He exhaled softly, amusement lacing his tone as he murmured to himself, "Time to meet a foreign Mythical Being."
With that, he stepped through the gate—untouched, unseen, and entirely uninvited.
