With the death of the noble, Rael and the others quickly made their way out of the estate, erasing all evidence of them ever being there to begin with.
Of course, Rael didn't really mind the women doing this, since had they not done it, he would've done it himself. Now, as they floated above the city and observed the confused looks on the kids' faces, they couldn't help but let out a chuckle.
"This doesn't sound like being a guardian angel, does it?" Rael said, giving Nyx the side-eye.
She scoffed at him and didn't say anything. Gaia, on the other hand, was smiling. She appreciated this kind of gesture more than either of them knew.
After all, for a being so old, she did have a soft spot for human affairs, especially affairs involving children. She was sure there was much more of this kind of evil happening in this world, and while she might not be able to solve all the world's problems, she was determined to at least not ignore the ones in front of her.
