Shaun has just finished a surgery when his assistant informed him,
" Mrs. Oberoi is on the call. She says it's urgent".
" Yes fighter", he took the call and waved off his assistant.
" Shaun we were attacked. Chi Chi.. "
" What happened to her" , he panicked.
" She is fine physically I mean but she is in a shock. There was a kid. He is hurt. She.. I don't know.. She is not saying a word. Please come", Rash sobbed.
" I am on my way. Call her husband ", he said.
" His security is calling ", she said.
" Okay I am coming. Send your location ", he said.
Rash immediately did. Shaun packed a few essentials and rushed.
Zeeshu took the Dragon's call. Jeet was in a cabinet meeting.
" Damn is madam fine", he asked Megha
" She is in a shock. She is not speaking or moving. Mr. Oberoi called Dr. Josef. He is coming ", replied Megha.
Zeeshu breathed a sigh of relief.
" Okay I will try to get a hold of him. When Shaun arrives let me know. When he finishes her care let him call me".
" Yes sir", she replied.
Zeeshu then couldn't control his emotions..
" How is Mrs. Oberoi "?
" She is fine sir but crying. Mr. Koul is consoling her".
" Hmm".
Zeeshu called Guru. He didn't pick up. He made a second call and then left the message
" The girls were attacked in the resort. As soon as he is free both of you rush there. I am leaving now. Shaun is already on the move".
Then he started his car and left.
Guru spotted the message immediately. At that time Jeet was animatedly talking with his trusted ministers about the budget. He resisted letting him know but excused himself. Jeet raised a brow but continued his talk.
Guru called Rash
" Guru", she wailed as she picked the call.
" Rash love are you alright ", he asked.
" No", she sobbed. " Chi Chi.. Poor Chi Chi"
" Were you harmed" , he asked.
" Few scratches from the fall", she replied.
" There were four of them. All had some crude local guns".
Blast her journalist brain..
" You forget about them and concentrate on yourself. Your husband is in a meeting. As soon as it finishes we are coming there".
She bawled loudly.
" Rash darling please don't cry. You are breaking my heart. I will leave everything and rush there", he said impatiently.
" Mr. Walia she is fine", he heard Kash's voice. " Just a bit shaken".
" Give her some brandy and ask her to rest", he replied.
Kash affirmed as Guru headed back inside.
At the resort
An hour later
Shaun was first to arrive. Rash was sleeping by then. Chanchal was resting in her room too. The kid was with her. He was injured but doing well. She refused to talk or let him go.
As Shaun entred her room tears flew from her eyes. The kid was still in her bed.
Shaun started examining her. She violently shook her head but spoke nothing. She pointed to the kid.
" I had a chat with the local doctor. He has a fracture but otherwise he is fine. No bullets in his body. Okay. He will make a full recovery. Now let me take a look at you. Let him sleep ", he canoled her.
She softly patted kid's head but said nothing.
Shaun waited. Chanchal slowly put the kid on bed and covered him. Then she got up without making a noise and pointed to another room. She quietly walked there. As she moved she signalled Megha to be with the kid. Shaun nodded showing her his gun in case of a danger. She agreed.
Afterwards Shaun examined her completely taking her vitals. She quietly obeyed him.
Suddenly..
She signalled him. He raised a brow
" Rash", she signalled
" She is fine. Tired. She is sleeping. Kash is with her", he replied. " Do you want to see her"?
She nodded.
Shaun took her. Looking at Rash she started crying again. Kash hugged and consoled her.
She signalled, " My fault . This holiday s*cks"
Kash smiled.
" Nope just a bad day", he said.
When she repeatedly started blaming herself Kash scolded her,
" Look you little fool. All of us are fine. At least your fashion disaster of a security have a good aim. Now listen to papa. Let the good doctor examine you and for God's sake eat something. If your husband finds you looking like a washed up doll he will burn the entire city".
In spite of himself Shaun chuckled. Kash had summed up Jeet's reaction aptly.
Chanchal went with Shaun for a check up.
Meanwhile
" THEY F*CKING WHAT! AND YOU RASCAL YOU ARE TELLING ME NOW. IF A HAIR IS HARMED ON THEIR BODY I AM GOING TO KILL EVERYONE AND BURN EVERYTHING ".
Ranjeet was reacting exactly in a manner Kash predicted.
" Look the meeting was important ", argued Guru.
Jeet held his neck.
" Nothing is important than Rash and Chi Chi. Next time Walia you will tell me..Be hell with the circumstances or I will annihilate you first".
He wasn't joking. Guru knew this.
" Your car is ready", he said. Jeet was sprinting towards it.
" Get Qureshi on line", he said.
Zeeshu picked on the second call.
" I am here. Shaun is examining Chanchal. Rash is sleeping. Kaul want to have aword with you", he said.
" Put him on speaker", ordered Jeet.
" Jeet it's Kash", his voice came.
" Yes Kash", he said.
" They weren't here for us. There were four men. Dragon's security have their weapons but definitely we were not the target. We were just caught in the middle ", he said.
Whom did they attack", asked Jeet.
" Just my guess but I could be wrong", he said.
" Speak up", said Jeet.
" It was that little three or four year kid I guess ", he said.
" Kid", Jeet was confused.
" His name is Sam. He works here. Chi Chi has taken a liking to him."
Jeet remembered immediately.
" How did you guess"? It was Zeeshu who asked this question.
" I heard one of the goons say nobody informed them of security. Rash has your security while Chi Chi has Dragon's. Nope we were not the target", he affirmed to Jeet.
" Very well Kash. Appreciate it. I am arriving. We will have a chat."
" Rash is fine. She gulped her brandy and slept. Your presence will help though", he said.
" Okay you take care too. Qureshi ask Josef to take his vitals too", said Jeet.
" Certainly sir", he said.
" Over and out", said Jeet.
Afterwards Chanchal had a warm glass of milk and slept. Shaun examined Kash and asked him to have a light dinner and gave him a pain killer.
By the time Jeet arrived it was night and all three of them were sleeping.
