The soft clink of glass filled the kitchen as Elize poured hot water into the teapot, the rising steam carrying the faint scent of the leaves she had chosen.
On the counter a short distance away, Ravene was sitting with her legs loosely wrapped around Brandon's waist.
Her arms rested around his neck with her fingers lightly tangled in the back of his hair as she leaned into him.
Brandon stood between her thighs with one hand against the counter beside her hip while the other settled at her waist, holding her in place as their mouths moved together.
Ravene tilted her head slightly, drawing him in further and tightened her legs just a little around him.
Elize glanced over once while setting the cups on a tray.
"…You're going to knock something over if you keep that up."
Ravene only made a small, dismissive sound against Brandon's lips before kissing him again, clearly uninterested in stopping.
Brandon exhaled softly, but he didn't pull away either.
