(Planet Drexel, Mairon's POV)
After gaining his first true experience of war, Mairon realized that he enjoyed it far more than he originally expected, as the thrill of battle lingered within him long after the fighting had already ended.
The sensation refused to leave his mind.
The rush of charging into danger.
The pressure of life and death.
The satisfaction of overcoming an enemy stronger than expected.
All of it replayed endlessly within his thoughts, as though his body itself had already begun craving the battlefield again despite only recently stepping onto one for the first time.
"Man… I can't wait for the next war to begin already…" Mairon muttered, as he leaned back lazily in his chair while staring toward the ceiling of his temporary quarters.
"I wonder when father will let us fight another campaign…" he continued, before letting out a disappointed sigh while tapping his fingers restlessly against the armrest.
"Probably not for a few months at least…" he grumbled.
