Last season on Total Drama Island," This was it, the next season of Total Drama was officially starting! And to start the season off strong, the host with the most Chris Mclain himself was giving the audience a good refresher of what happened last season. "Duncan and Gwen battled it out for the one hundred thousand dollars. In the end Duncan, a bad boy with a heart of gold, won the super-sized check. But then gave it all up for the chance to win one million big ones! With the million smackeroos stuffed into a briefcase, our twenty-four campers set off on The Race for the Case! Until it was stolen by everyone's favorite platypus, and then eaten by an alligator. Then a shark! Hahahaha! I bet none of you saw that coming. Now the seventeen who were closest to winning have been given the chance to win another million dollars…actually, hehe, it's the same money!"
We the see Chris walked up in front of a film lot, with various props and recording equipment and other such things for making movies littered all around. "They've been told to report this old film lot for a whole new set of challenges!" Chris announced before taking out a film clapper and clapped it, changing the screen to show a film real that showed the faces of all the 17 past campers that would be returning. "Forty two days, one million dollars, and 17 contestants all duking it out for it! Or…will it be 17~?" Just then the film reals changed to show black silhouettes with a question mark in them. "Welcome everyone to…"
"Total…Drama…Action!!!"
We then cut to the entrance of the film lot which consisted of an entrance gate and booth with the caution lines being made of decayed wood showing their age. At the very top was a golden colored metal sign, but many of the letters were missing having either fallen off or been taken making what the sign originally said impossible to figure out. No one in their right mind would come to this set to visit it…which is why multiple rundown buses each containing one or two of 17 contestants that made it to the next season. The first bus, that made funky noises and released visible fumes with every bit of movement similar to all the Buses, stopped in front of the entrance and opened up its door with the teen it was transporting quickly stepping out along with all their luggage.
The one to step out of the first bus was Duncan who took a deep breath through his nose before sighing in satisfaction. "Man I missed the smell of the city," Duncan let out as he walked out of the bus and onto the pavement that made up the ground. During the off season instead of going back to Juvie for a week he was allowed to go home to his family…with his parole officer there just in case. It proved to be a nice reunion though Duncan was a bit embarrassed by his mother being proud of him for the few good deeds he preformed as well as getting such a nice girlfriend and winning. It definitely was foreign for him but…he'd be lying if he said it wasn't nice.
Walking out of the bus next was Gwen but unfortunately for her Heather, who was on the same bus as the two ended up taking the same plane to and from home as it turned out they only lived an hour away from each other, tried to shove past her with the queen bee now sporting a wig. She tried to get one that resembled her old hair but had to settle with one that was a darker color and had a different style, it was the best she could find. "Step off!" Heather yelled at Gwen as she tried to push past the goth, but Gwen refused to let Heather get one on her, even as minor as that.
"You step off!" Gwen yelled back before the two growled at each other and stepped off the bus together.
All the contestants then began to step out of the various buses with some like Owen, Beth, Lindsay, and Tyler all having a single bus and a couple others like DJ and Leshawna, Bridgette and Geoff, and of course Lincoln and Dawn all came out of a bus together. "Hey guys," Trent welcomed everyone as he stepped out of his bus and gave a friendly smile to everyone. "Good to see all of you," Trent then walked up to Gwen and wrapped an arm around her with the goth girl happily leaning into him. "How was the visit back home Gwen?"
"It was alright, it was nice seeing the family again," Gwen shrugged, deciding to leave out the part where she found out her mother got their next door neighbor's daughter to pretend to be her while she was gone. Gwen's mother…didn't handle empty nest syndrome that well. Despite the fact that her brother was still home. "Mom wouldn't stop hugging me for the first three hours…or the last three hours I was home,"
"Aw, that's sweet," Trent grinned making Gwen roll her eyes but still gave a small smile. "It was pretty great be home myself, even got to visit my grandpa's grave while I was home. I'm glad I got to visit him."
"Lindsay!" Tyler grinned as he stepped off his bus and immediately ran up to his girlfriend with Lindsay quick to embrace him. "It's great to see ya babe!"
"Awwww, it's so great to see you again too Tyson! I missed you so much!" Lindsay gushed as she held onto Tyler tightly. Tyler sighed a bit, but still smiled and hugged his girlfriend. Well, her getting his name wrong was better than her forgetting who he was. "I'm so glad you're her! Now I got my boyfriend and my best friend competing with me!"
"I'm so excited for this season!" Beth grinned as she walked up to Lindsay and Tyler, and when she smiled everyone could see there was something different about the shorter girl now.
"Oh cool!" Tyler looked down at Beth and noticed the metal that was now missing from her teeth. "Beth you got your braces off, that's sweet!"
"I must say it's not just your physical appearance that's looking nice Beth," Dawn complimented as she and Lincoln walked over to them. Everyone's aura's was mostly how she remembered them when they last set off for home last week, but Beth's aura had some noticeable positive difference. "Your aura is looking a lot brighter now."
"Aaww thank you!" Beth gushed, blushing a bit at the compliment. "Now that my braces are off, I feel like a whole new person!"
"You look great Beth," DJ complimented the girl with the now flawless and shiny white teeth. "Better be careful, might blind someone with those pearly whites."
"Look out world," Lincoln grinned, glad that Beth was feeling a lot more confident with herself now. She needed it after how the last season was for her. "There's a slayer on the loose."
Beth was smiling at all the praise, but just then Justin walked up to Beth and leaned close to her and grinned, making Beth blush even brighter now that the hottest guy in the world was walking up to her. "Hot as ever~" Beth gasped a bit at the compliment Justin gave her…but in reality Justin was just looking at his reflection in Beth's shiny teeth. Lincoln rolled his eyes at this.
"Hey Lincoln!" Just then approaching Lincoln from behind was Bridgette who gave the white haired boy a hug with Lincoln glad to return it as he and Dawn smiled at Bridgette as Geoff followed close behind her. "How are you two doing?"
"We're doing great Bridgette, thanks for asking," Lincoln told her as Bridgette gave Dawn a quick hug before returning to Geoff's side with the party dude wrapping an arm around his girlfriend. "Had a killer time back home, Dawn's folks even came along so we were able to spend the week with both our families."
"It was the same for us bro!" Geoff grinned as he held his fist up allowing Lincoln and Dawn to bump it. "We had a wicked party back home! It was awesome! My best bud Brody ate up like three whole pizza's by himself!"
"And then promptly threw up three pizzas," Bridgette giggled a bit at the memory. Bridgette then looked around and noticed the lack of a platypus with the couple in front of her. "Say, where's Edward."
"Oh we decided to leave him at home," Lincoln explained to them. Yeah he and Dawn would miss the little guy but he figured it was for the best, Lana promised to take good care of him. "With how crazy things get I figured it'd be safer for him back home than deal with more of Chris' madness."
"Makes sense," Gwen shrugged, she could understand that.
"Aw man, I'm gonna miss the little dude," Geoff looked down a bit. He was excited to see Edward again but looks like that wouldn't be the case.
"I won't," Heather growled out as memories of that stupid freak of nature entered her head. She was glad he wasn't coming back. "If I ever see him again, I'm turning him into a purse!"
"Before or after he stabs you for a third time?" Dawn asked with a smirk.
"Third? Oh haha! He got her again?" Leshawna grinned and laughed at hearing that Edward managed to get Heather with his barbs a second time. She couldn't believe she missed that! "When was that?"
"None of your business!" Heather glared viciously at Leshawna and Dawn in response.
"Aw that's a shame," Owen spoke up and of course in his hands was his best friend in the whole world, Mr. Coconut. "I was hoping he and Mr. Coconut could have some fun together while we're busy with the challenges!"
Everyone was a little off put by the fact that Owen was still carrying Mr. Coconut with him. Especially when it came to Tyler. "Oh you gotta be kidding me…" Tyler let out as he saw the fruit in Owen's arms. "Owen please don't tell me you actually brought that thing with you?"
"Hey Mr. Coconut isn't a thing! He's my best friend!" Owen said defensively as he hugged Mr. Coconut close to him. "And of course I brought him along, he gets upset when he's away from me for too long."
"…That just ain't right man," DJ muttered in a creeped out tone.
Harold soon stepped out of his bus and smiled upon seeing Leshawna. Remembering Lincoln's advice, Harold cleared his throat before walking up to the girl of his dreams. "Hey Leshawna," Harold politely greeted as Leshawna turned around and smiled at seeing the ginger boy. "It's great to see you again, you're looking aa beautiful as ever,"
"Well ain't you a little charmer," Leshawna couldn't stop the dust of pink from coming to her cheeks at Harold's compliment. The skinny white boy certainly knew how to make a girl feel special didn't he? "How you doing baby?"
"Doing quite well thank you, I took the time off from the show to work on my mad skills," Harold bragged a bit as he made a few fighting poses to show off his heightened abilities. "Now I'm stronger, faster, and smarter than ever!"
"Not to mention nerdier, dorkier, more annoyinger," Duncan listed off with a smirk with Harold glaring at the delinquent. "Don't forget those too."
Thankfully before Harold could get too upset at Duncan, Lincoln walked up to the ginger and wrapped his arm around Harold's shoulder. "Heh, good to see ya bud," Lincoln told Harold as the two grinned at each other. Their friendship remained strong as ever as the two texted each other during the off season, but it was great to see each other in person again. "I bet you're gonna make it all the way to top this season."
"That's the plan," Harold stated as he puffed his chest out.
"YeEeEeEeah!" Last one out of the buses was Izzy who, instead of exiting through the doors like a normal person had leapt straight out of one of the windows and in the middle of everyone. "Oh my gosh! It's so good to see everyone! It feels like it's been a week since I've seen everyone!"
"Uh, that's because it has been a week Izzy," Bridgette informed the crazy red head with an amused smile.
"I know! Just so long!" Izzy giggled wildly as she looked around a bit. "Wow camp looks a lot different than I remember it being, what happened to all the trees?"
"…She for real?" Leshawna asked as everyone merely shrugged in response. No one was willing to tackle the mystery that was Izzy.
"Say Izzy," Dawn spoke up as she approached the psycho hose beast. "I thought you were changing your name to E-Scope?"
"Oh right that! Well I was gonna but then I did some digging around and it turns out Kaleidoscope is a stripper name!" Izzy informed everyone making their eyes widen. "I might be crazy but I know my standards!"
"Well…good for you Izzy," Dawn slowly patted the girl on the shoulder. Owen looked on in sadness, as much as he wanted to try and say hi he was confident Izzy was still mad at him.
"At least she's aware she's crazy," Duncan dryly let out.
Just then the buses drove away once all the contestants had exited them allowing the contestants to properly see where they were staying and much like the summer camp last season they weren't too impressed.
"Um, starting to think we got off at the wrong stop," Gwen pointed out as they looked at the old abandoned film lot.
"Those buses only had one stop," Justin pointed out. "Pretty sure all of them had a 'to be crushed' sticker on them."
"Well I am not hanging around here," Heather stated, crossing her arms and getting many eye rolls from the others.
"You're gonna give up the chance to win a million big ones?" Leshawna pointed out, egging Heather on a little bit as she pointed to the wig on her head. "Heh, that's a lot of hair weaves."
"…" Heather was silent for a bit as she thought about it before adjusting her wig. "I guess I could stay for a bit!"
"Face it," Beth pointed out with a shrug. "The money is the reason we all put up with Chris."
"Can certainly say that again," Duncan nodded, still a bit salty from losing his 100 grand.
Honk! Honk!
Turning towards the sound of the horn, everyone saw Chris driving a golf cart with a bunch of passenger carts attached behind it. "Greetings contestants!" Chris welcomed everyone with his signature grin as he hopped out of the cart. "Good to see you all again! Ready for another season of pain, drama, and more pain!"
"Well I'm certainly ready to get another win under my belt and get my money back, and then some," Duncan stated confidently before pointing a thumb towards the film lot. "So can we get a move on here?"
"All in good time Duncan my man," Chris halted Duncan's attempts to speed run the game as the host looked at all the contestants. "I've got a little announcement to make before we start things off."
"This can't be good," Gwen muttered with many of the others nodding in agreement.
"As you've noticed we only have 17 competitors here," Chris pointed out as Lindsay looked around before silently trying to count everyone here with her fingers. "So we decided to add three new competitors this season to round out the number to 20. The candidates did apply to compete in the first season but were turned down for one reason or another. Buuuuuut, since I'm such a nice guy I decided to give them a chance. Hehehe."
"So fresh meat huh?" Heather asked, showing a bit of interest in the new suckers she could explo-I mean, new competitors.
"Hope they know what they're getting into," Trent said with a bit of worry, knowing these new guys would be in for a world of pain.
"And here they come now," Chris pointed out as another old bus pulled out to the lot and opened its door, everyone looking in interest at what the new competitors would be like. "Make sure to give them the Total Drama welcome everyone." Chris then pulled out some queue cards from his pocket before clearing his throat as he starting introducing the new faces to Total Drama. "First up, from the most venomous continent on earth and also Edward's stomping grounds of Australia, a master survivalist, and is known to dance with danger itself we have…Jasmine!"
Everyone watched as the bus shook as its first occupant begin exiting. "Whoof!" Letting out a sigh of relief out of finally exiting the bus was a woman that towered even over the imposing Chef. She had dark skin with black hair and black eyes and wore what looked to be an outfit a seasoned survivalist would wear consisting of a beige colored explorer's hat, a white t-shirt that exposed her midriff with a beige sleeveless vest over it that contained pockets on both sides, a pair of beige shorts that went halfway to her knees that had a black belt around them along with a pair of black combat boots and white socks. And everyone could see the firm muscles on her limbs and the abs that her shirt allowed her to show off. "Finally outta that tin can,"
She spoke with a heavy Australian accent and if eyes weren't on her before they certainly were now as everyone looked up at the dark skinned Australian gal with shocked looks. "Woah…" Harold was the first to break the silence.
"That's a whole lotta woman…" Leshawna spoke up next.
Looking down, Jasmine smiled at seeing all her now fellow competitors. "G'day mates!" Jasmine gave a friendly greeting as she stepped up to everyone. It was kind of hard to believe, after watching all these guys on TV she would actually get to be competing alongside them now. "Happy to be here!"
"Uh, hey," Gwen was the first one to give a greeting back to the Jasmine, everyone feeling more than a little intimidated by what could only be described as an Amazon. "Nice to meet you too,"
Jasmine then blinked a few times before frowning at seeing all the looks she was getting. "Somethin' wrong?" Jasmine asked as she scratched the back of her head.
"Oh, uh, sorry," Bridgette quickly apologized on behalf of everyone. She and most of the others didn't mean to be rude but Jasmine was just…a lot to take in. "We didn't mean to stare it's just…"
"Oooooh, hehe, right," Jasmine nodded in understanding, finally getting why everyone was looking at her like that. Not everyday one sees a gal like her after all. "Sometimes it slips me mind. No worries, I get that reaction all the time!"
"If you don't mind us asking…" Lincoln slowly began, hoping he wasn't overstepping any boundaries. "How tall are you exactly?"
"Hmmmm, last I checked…about seven foot six I believe," Jasmine answered, once again making everyone shocked. Ok…unspoken new rule. Try not to piss off the woman that looked liked she could body them in less than a second. "But it's been a while since I checked."
"She was a rejected audition?" Duncan turned to Chris in utter disbelief. "She's basically a super human!"
"Believe me, it was a hard decision." Chris stated as he remembered Jasmine's audition standing out. Chris and the producers were honestly trying to decide between her and Eva last season and in the end, they flipped a coin for it. "Well Jasmine, come and make yourself comfortable with everyone else."
"Sure thing," Jasmine nodded her head and went to go stand with everyone else, ending up right next to DJ that Jasmine looked down at to give a warm welcome. "Hi there mate," DJ was silent as he looked up at Jasmine…and proceeded to faint taking her and everyone else off guard. "Uuuuum…"
"Don't worry about it, basic defense mechanism hehe." Chris laughed at DJ's reaction to the Australian Amazon before tossing Jasmine's queue card away and began to read the next one. "And next up he's a season gymnastic with multiple first place trophies under his belt, has earned a large majority of Muskrat boy badges, and even has a little bit of a record, Mike!"
After the beast that was Jasmine everyone looked to the bus again expecting some kind of beast among man to step out…but instead they saw a rather skinny looking guy step out. He was about Trent's height and had tanned skin, dark brown hair that was spiked up at the front and reach the back of his neck where it was also spiked a little. He also had brown eyes and a gapped tooth and wore a blue shirt with highlights around the sleeves and neck hole, blue jeans that were tucked into his white and gray shoes. "Oh wow, haha," Mike let out as he saw the cast of Total Drama in front of him. Well most of them at least, plus that Australian girl he was on the bus with. He was a bit intimidated at first but she seemed nice, definitely nicer than that other girl appeared to be. "C-Can't believe I'm actually meeting you guys! Nice to meet you all, happy to be here,"
"Oh yeah," Heather smirked, shaking her head. She could see that Chris was just hyping him up, he looked to be another dork just like many of the others here. Coming after an Amazon certainly didn't help him. "He won't last long,"
But contrary to Heather, Trent was there to give Mike a warm welcome as he walked up to the tanned teen and offered his fist to him. "Hey dude," Trent told Mike with an easy going smile. "Welcome to the show."
"Hey, nice to meet me." Mike gladly accepted Trent's offer of a fist bump. But he quickly realized what he said as Mike began stuttering in embarrassment. "I-I mean you! Meet you! Haha, s-sorry I'm a little nervous…"
While some laughed a bit at Mike's expense, Trent didn't shame Mike at all for his slip of the tongue. "Hey don't worry about it," Trent reassured the new guy, helping Mike calm down a little bit. "There's some pretty chilled people here. Just avoid Heather."
"I heard that!" Heather yelled in response, but everyone ignored her.
"Alright Mike, join the others," Chris gestured to the other contestants. He really wanted to introduce the last one, it was his favorite. But as Mike and Trent went back with everyone else Duncan narrowed his eyes a bit at the new guy. He can't quite put a finger on it…but he's seen that dork before.
Also eyeing Mike with interest was Dawn, who current help but note Mike's rather…unique aura. "Oh wow…" Dawn muttered at as she stared at Mike.
"Something up Dawn?" Lincoln asked, having heard his girlfriend speak up.
"Well…definitely," Dawn slowly said, looking between Lincoln and Mike. "But I don't believe it's my place to tell,"
Lincoln rose a brow at that, but nodded and trusted Dawn's words. Just then Chris tossed away Mike's queue card and brought up his last one and immediately starting snickering. "And last…hehe…bust not least…hahahaha!" Chris couldn't help but laugh, greatly concerning everyone else. "I'm sorry. Hard to keep a straight face with this one,"
"What has he cooked up this time?" Leshawna asked as she glared at Chris, what could possibly be more of a shock after Jasmine?
"Our last new contestant. She, is from the USA," Chris paused briefly, looking up at Lincoln for a reaction. "Specifically…from Great Lakes City~"
After hearing this Lincoln suddenly froze up. He felt like his heart stop for a good second or two as color drained from his face. A girl…from the USA…from Great Lakes City…no. There's…there's no way it could be her. Chris wouldn't do that…right?
"Her family originates from Mexico~" Crap! He would! Before Chris could continue forward Lincoln quickly hid behind the mountain of a man that was Owen. "Ronnie Anne!!!"
There were two types of reactions from the contestants. Those that knew that name gasped as their eyes widened and those that didn't rose a brow, wondering why Chris was hyping this up so much. "Um Lincoln" Owen spoke up to the white haired boy hiding behind him. "What are you-"
"I. Am. Not. Here!" Lincoln silently yelled at Owen making the big guy flinch. Lincoln couldn't believe it…not her…anyone but her!
Then finally, coming out of the bus was an angry looking Hispanic girl. She had block hair done up in a wavy pony tail that went down to her butt and had brown eyes. She wore an open magenta hoodie with a white top that exposed her midriff, black pants with pink horizontal stripes on the bottom of each leg with the pants tight fitting on her wide hips, along with a pair of pink and white shoes.
