A violent pulse of darkness erupted from her body, tearing Sue's temporal domain apart in an instant. The golden light surrounding the battlefield burst into fragments, and the ice spear that had been inches from Viserys's heart disintegrated before it could reach her.
Sue's eyes widened.
Viserys turned toward her.
"You presume far too much."
Her hand moved.
Sue barely managed to raise her arms before an invisible force struck her chest. Her body was launched backward at terrifying speed, tearing through the air before crashing into the ground several kilometers away. The impact created a deep crater, and for several seconds she remained motionless at its center.
Viserys didn't even watch her fall.
Her attention had already shifted toward Evelyn.
The ice Saint had reacted immediately, abandoning the broken spear and forming dozens of enormous ice blades around herself. They shot toward Viserys from every direction, converging upon her body like a crystalline storm.
