Isaac looked at Selene and grabbed her hand to stop her. "Selene, calm down. We can still talk about this without immediately destroying Jasmine's entire city."
"I am calm," Selene replied.
Isaac stared at her for several seconds, and the more he looked at her expression, the more convinced he became that she was anything but calm.
She was pissed. Really, really pissed.
Isaac had seen Selene angry before, but this was different. She wasn't raising her voice or losing control, and somehow that made the situation even more dangerous because he could tell that she had already decided what she wanted to do. Still, he could hardly blame her when he thought about everything that had happened while she was away, especially the incident involving Jasmine and the palace.
Then again, he was also pissed.
