"Why is it you?" Mabel Quinn asked.
"Who else did you think it would be?" Kyle Kinston stared at the woman before him. She was wearing a light blue cotton dress, and her long hair, instead of being tied into a simple ponytail as before, was pinned up with a hairclip, with a few strands falling gracefully along her cheeks and neck. As those strands swayed slightly, Kyle felt as if his heart was being lightly stirred.
Mabel pressed her lips together, not answering his question. She simply asked, "What are you doing here?" She wasn't naive enough to ask how he found her address, knowing that someone like him, if he truly wished, could easily find her information.
With him appearing here now, did that mean he had already looked into her details?
Thinking of this, Mabel suddenly became nervous. If Kyle had seen her information, then had he… discovered something?
"Do you plan to just stand at the door and talk to me?" he asked.
