Jeremiah May initially glanced at the little one a few times, seeing her sitting there like a doll, not doing much, so he buried his head in dealing with his homework.
Jeremiah's writing speed was very fast. Those problems that took others quite a while to calculate, he almost solved mentally.
However, the workload of a first-year middle school student was not light. By the time Jeremiah finished his homework and looked at the little one again, she was still sitting there obediently, and nearly an hour had passed.
Jeremiah was a bit stunned. Even if a little child is silly, sitting dazed for an hour is a bit too much…
The little one noticed him looking at her, so she spoke up, "I'm being good."
A strange feeling suddenly welled up in Jeremiah's heart.
"You're very good." He thought for a moment, picked the little one up from the chair, and then asked, "What do you want to play?" He didn't have any children's toys here.
"Pat-a-cake…" the little one said.
