The silver light gate disappeared without a trace as if it had never existed, leaving only Brand holding a box, somewhat bewildered.
"Pfft." Faina suddenly burst into laughter while looking at the young man.
"Is it that funny?" Brand retorted angrily, while he opened the box.
"Hmph, this lady can laugh if she wants. What are you gonna do about it?"
"Yeah, I wonder whose claws it is—" Brand glanced at his left hand, shook his head, and sighed.
The Princess of the Flower Leaf Domain swiftly pulled her hand away, a blush spreading across her fair neck: "How could you say that—"
"Eh, did I ever promise you anything?"
Faina clenched her fists and glared at her, eyes spitting fire as if she wanted to devour Brand. The young lady stomped her feet, pretending to be strong as she scolded: "You, you just wait, I'll report you to Lord Veronica."
"Report me? About what?"
The noble daughter was stunned and suddenly stammered, her face flushed: "Say... say you took advantage of me."
