Frey silently sat down next to Brand without a word. She adjusted her long ponytail and replied softly, "To be honest, Brand, I never thought our Kingdom would be plunged into so much danger. Back when I was under Captain Madden, I always thought the Kingdom might have some issues, but it was still strong. Life was so peaceful then, as if war was so far away."
"Do you think this country can still be saved?" Brand turned his head to look at the girl's beautiful profile.
"I don't know, but I will live and die with it."
"Is this what you learned at the Royal Academy?"
"Some of it. But I feel like these emotions have always been buried in my heart; I just couldn't see them clearly before. Brand, I actually want to thank you. You made me decide to go to the Royal Military Academy. Now I realize that it is the most valuable experience in my life, and I think—it might have already changed my life," Frey thoughtfully replied.
