Owen suddenly turned back, his eyes bloodshot as he glared at his companion: "Are you crazy!" he shouted through gritted teeth, "We absolutely cannot retreat, our teammates are still ahead!"
Charlotte smiled slightly.
"Then remember to buy that book for me, the one with the golden-edged cover, the collector's edition from the Lunar Year, you know it."
"What are you talking about?"
"Go pick up the flag, Owen."
A few minutes later, the South Gate of Bunoan Guard City swung open.
The remaining soldiers of the White Lion Legion inside the city began to retreat. The Commander of the Demons—the Long-Horned Demon immediately noticed this, and it certainly couldn't tolerate these humans, who had caused it immense trouble, to walk away.
It let out a long horn, and the Demon Army rushed towards the South Gate, personally leading the charge, intent on crushing those pests.
