"Whimper!!"
The piercing, ear-splitting sound akin to metal scraping echoed through the cabin.
Behind him were crew members coming down to help collect loot.
Xia Nan looked at the strange creature kept in the bucket before him, frowning slightly.
Its size was about half the torso of an adult human, resembling an octopus parasitizing a conch shell.
Except its shell, refracting a metallic sheen like a sea snail, didn't seem like a temporary headpiece found somewhere; it appeared to be part of the creature's body, intricately textured as if meticulously polished by a professional Blacksmith, with a micro light flowing on the surface as if refracted by light penetrating water.
Below the shell were numerous slender tentacles, stretching outward and curling, colored in the same shade as the shell, a pale blue close to flesh tone.
And a pair of flawless, dark gemstone-like eyes.
No one in the room, including Xia Nan, recognized this bizarre-looking creature.
