Crystal Landon was examining the list of gifts from various families, comparing the gifts to the status of the prominent families in the Imperial City, and thus gained some insights.
While she was engrossed in this, she heard a commotion nearby. Looking up, she saw Pearl Landon pulling Richard Shaw, who looked indifferent but didn't push her away.
Crystal Landon suddenly stood up, her pretty face slightly cold. "Damn, pulling and tugging like this in public."
"Pearl, what are you doing here?" Crystal walked over, smiled, and reached out to hold Pearl's hands, preventing her from clinging to Richard Shaw.
Richard Shaw was a soldier, and ordinary soldiers pay attention to their image, let alone a Major General. Feeling extremely impatient with Pearl's pestering, he saw Crystal coming over. He pulled away from Pearl and, for some reason, felt a bit sweet inside. Wasn't she talking to Hawk Howard? How did she have time to notice him?
