Crystal squinted at him, seeing the man had already gotten up and buttoned his shirt collar. That unfamiliar ringtone instantly gave her a bad feeling.
"Today is Chinese New Year's Eve, where are you going?" She struggled to restrain her anger.
The man's handsome, stern face was half-hidden in the dim light, his voice hoarse as he said, "I'm going out for a bit, you go back to sleep."
"To see who?"
Richard Shaw paused slightly, saying nothing.
On a day for family reunions, it was already late at night. Who would call an outsider at this hour? Besides, even if there was an emergency, there were family and friends around.
