As Lily Turner was leaving the compound, Alice Turner hadn't arrived yet. After waiting for about ten minutes at the entrance, her sister finally caught a taxi and made it over.
Seeing that Alice took a taxi, Lily was full of questions, "Why did you take a taxi? Where's your car?"
She stood outside the car, bending over to look at her sister sitting inside.
"Get in the car first." Alice opened the car door on Lily's side, gesturing for her to get in before discussing anything else.
Lily was puzzled but she crouched and got into the car, and as soon as she sat down, she asked again, "What's going on?"
If she had known her sister was taking a taxi to pick her up, she would not have asked her to come; she could have just taken a taxi herself to their meeting spot.
"Driver! Xiangman Zhai!" Alice instructed the driver before turning to look at Lily, "Thomas Fisher took my car."
