As Thomas Fisher and Anthony were joking with each other, Alice Turner's phone suddenly rang. She took her phone out of her pocket and glanced at it.
"I'll step outside to take a call, you two keep chatting."
As she spoke, she was already standing up, and before she finished her sentence, she was walking towards the door.
Thomas Fisher was sitting right beside Alice Turner, and the moment she picked up the phone, his sharp eyes caught it.
Mother-in-law!
Her mother-in-law is none other than his own mom, so why is his mom calling her? Could she have found out about him coming to the Derry Kingdom?
At that thought, Thomas Fisher immediately got up and followed her out, not even bothering to say a word to Anthony, showing just how urgent his need to follow was.
His mom calling at this time was definitely to criticize her, or even say unpleasant things to her, and he would not allow that to happen.
