Feng Fuce listened and smiled, raising his eyebrows.
"I don't really need to rest. I just heard you calling, so I came over to check."
He looked at the beads of sweat on Bai Zhi'er's forehead.
Feng Fuce couldn't help but gaze intently.
He reached out with his fair, slender hand to gently wipe away the sweat.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
Bai Zhi'er weakly nodded.
Thinking of the scene with the Heavenly Fire made her still feel lingering fear.
Outside, it was raining, and Feng Fuce didn't want her to stand there getting cold.
So, he took Bai Zhi'er by the hand and led her into her room.
Bai Zhi'er was guided by him to sit at the table, watching as Feng Fuce lit a candle and brought her hot tea.
As the warm candlelight brightened, Bai Zhi'er felt the anxiety in her heart lessen.
Feng Fuce sat beside her: "What did you dream?"
