While the Thousand Sunny docked at Dressrosa, Trafalgar Law's submarine arrived at Green Bit. This isolated island was connected to the mainland only by a long-broken bridge and was covered in a dense, primeval forest.
Carl knew the secrets of the island and turned to Robin. He pointed toward the deep woods and explained that a kingdom of tiny people lived beneath the forest. He noted that while they had a long history and significant fighting power, they were also quite gullible. Intrigued by the prospect of an ancient civilization, Robin decided to investigate. Law then instructed Bepo and the rest of the crew to accompany her, noting that too many people at the meeting point would make Doflamingo suspicious. Bepo agreed, feeling safe knowing that Carl was staying behind to watch over Law.
Carl donned a black cloak and completely masked his presence, standing silently behind Law as they watched the sky. Soon, a figure appeared in the air, sprinting across the clouds like a flamingo. It was Donquixote Doflamingo. The Warlord landed in front of them, glancing briefly at the cloaked figure. Sensing no threat from the hidden man, he flashed a sinister smile.
"Jajajaja! Law, it's been a long time," Doflamingo said arrogantly. "I didn't expect you to make such a move against me. After all the help I gave you in the past, this is quite sad".
Law's eyes burned with hatred. He replied that he only remembered the abuse he suffered and his need to avenge Corazon. Doflamingo remained unfazed, believing he held all the cards. He felt confident that even with the Straw Hats—the so-called "Five Emperors"—involved, he was still the one in control. He demanded the return of Diamante's heart as agreed since he had resigned from the Seven Warlords.
Law reached into his pocket and threw four hearts toward him. Doflamingo caught them but looked at Law with suspicion, wondering if it was truly this simple. Law challenged him to crush them if he didn't believe they were real, claiming he would bow to Doflamingo if his officers didn't die instantly. Accepting this, Doflamingo prepared to end Law's life. He raised his hands, thin, razor-sharp strings dancing at his fingertips.
"So, Law, how do you think I should kill you?" Doflamingo asked.
Law stood his ground, calling him crazy. Doflamingo laughed, noting that Luffy, Carl, Zoro, and the other powerhouses of the Straw Hat crew were currently at the port. He looked at the cloaked man again and dismissed him as weak.
Law activated his "ROOM," the translucent sphere expanding to trap them both. He drew his sword, Kikoku, and slashed forward, but Doflamingo blocked the strike with a wall of strings. Law quickly used "Shambles" to swap places with a stone behind the Warlord, aiming a blade at his heart.
"Too slow!" Doflamingo mocked. He spun around, catching Law's blade in his strings and delivering a powerful kick to Law's stomach. Law fell to his knees, gasping in pain. Doflamingo praised Law's rapid growth in Haki and physical strength—likely due to Carl's training—but declared that Law was destined to die. He claimed the Straw Hats would be crushed by the combined forces of Blackbeard, Big Mom, and Kaido.
As Doflamingo moved his "Five Color Strings" toward Law's head to finish him, a hand suddenly shot out from under the cloak and gripped Doflamingo's wrist. The Warlord froze, unable to move his arm an inch further. He felt a sudden, chilling sense of unease.
Law, still on the ground, wiped tears from his eyes and spoke quietly. "Carl, I'll leave the rest to you".
Doflamingo's pupils shrank as the man threw off the cloak, revealing the face of the Lightning Great Swordsman, Carl. Doflamingo panicked, screaming that Carl was supposed to be on the ship. Carl calmly explained that the figures at the port were merely wax clones created by Mr. 3. Doflamingo remembered Mr. 3's clones from the Summit War and realized he had been completely fooled.
"So, Doflamingo," Carl said with a cold, joyless smile. "How do you plan on running away?"
Carl unleashed a massive wave of Conqueror's Haki. Doflamingo released his own in a desperate attempt to resist. The two forces collided, creating a violent storm and sparking purple lightning across the island. However, Doflamingo quickly paled, struggling to breathe under the sheer weight of Carl's overwhelming power. It was clear that the Warlord was no match for the man standing before him.
