It took some time, but eventually, Vegeta and Weiss descended from the infinite sky above and returned to the small temple where the others were waiting for them.
Immediately, the first thing everyone noticed was the significant change that had occurred in Weiss.
If she was already beautiful normally and had an ethereal beauty with that celestial blue transformation, now she had obtained the status of a true goddess.
Her long white hair and blue eyes now shared the same golden color, both shining like a radiant sun that brought life to the world. Above her head, a halo in the shape of a Glyph floated while releasing tiny particles of light that helped to enhance this divine beauty.
Then, to complement this transformation was Weiss's new dress, similar to that worn at wedding ceremonies by the bride, but less restrictive, almost as if it had been perfectly adapted for combat.
In short, it would be no exaggeration to say that Weiss was by far the most beautiful woman in the world, perhaps even in the universe.
That and the golden power that radiated from her body gave off a feeling similar to that shown by Vegeta during his transformations, but with something else added to the mix.
Somehow, it seemed that Weiss had gained access to and adapted to some of this man's extraordinary power.
Thanks to this, she had not only become the most beautiful woman, but also the most powerful person who had ever lived in Remnant... and she wasn't happy about this historic achievement.
If anything, Weiss seemed sad as she looked at her teammates, and it showed in more than just her expression; it was also reflected in the way she held Vegeta's hand.
"Yang, Blake," she began after a moment's silence, bringing the two out of their fascination-induced trance and being surprised by what she had to say. "I'm sorry for what I just did."
For ignoring their feelings and acting like a selfish idiot.
There was no immediate response, no one there expecting anything like this, and soon Vegeta reluctantly let go of Weiss and signaled for the others to follow him out of the room.
Even he could tell that this was a personal matter and not something to be discussed in front of an audience.
Ozpin could understand that and didn't object to Vegeta's instructions, even though he was visibly shaken by the change this student had experienced.
Not just because of the tremendous magical power her body emitted, or how, visually speaking, it resembled the power of one of the gods who had cursed him to this eternal life. No, for a moment, he could have sworn he saw Salem again, the old Salem... the only woman he had ever loved.
It bothered him deeply, especially as this feeling was even more intense than what he felt when he found out about all the destruction caused around the world... about all the lives that had been lost.
After so long and everything that had happened between them, Ozpin believed he had gotten over Salem, but it seemed that wasn't the case at all and probably never would be.
Love could also be an eternal curse rather than a temporary blessing, and he was sure Prince Vegeta understood that very well.
Otherwise, he wouldn't be opening his heart a second time.
As for Qrow and Glynda, they could only look at this new divine couple with mixed emotions in their eyes before following Ozpin in silence.
In the end, whatever had happened to move their hearts, even momentarily, there was nothing for them here.
If anything, they already had enough problems to deal with and didn't need something like this to torment their minds.
Winter, on the other hand, hesitated a little, and for so many reasons...
Her little sister, the little girl she had given everything to help escape her father's clutches, was no more.
In her place was a woman of divine appearance and power, one who had even won the heart of an entity that could destroy planets.
Weiss no longer needed her, and Winter didn't know how to feel about that, only that it was almost as if an important part of her life had come to an end.
However, even the end could mean new beginnings.
She'll be fine. Taking a deep breath, Winter let go of her doubts with a sigh and smiled proudly. More than that, Weiss will restore our family's honor and become someone whose name will go down in history.
Not just in Remnant, but in the entire universe!
Besides, who knows? In the near future, maybe Winter will have a little niece or nephew to take care of instead of a little sister.
Yeah, that wouldn't be so bad.
With that in mind, Winter followed her potential brother-in-law. She might not like Vegeta because of the chaos he caused, but after getting to know him a little, she could see that he wasn't a bad person.
Now, all it took was for the damage he had caused to be undone as promised, and Winter would have no problem accepting him into the family.
With her departure, only Ruby remained unsure whether she should follow the others out of this pocket dimension or stay with her team.
Her conflict was so great that she couldn't even admire her best friend's super-duper amazing transformation!
While Ruby was no longer the team leader and wasn't involved in this drama - one of the few advantages of being socially awkward and loving weapons instead of boys... for now - these girls remained her friends, her new family.
Ruby wanted to be with them at all times, no matter how good or bad!
After all, that's what a real team was supposed to be!
Fortunately, she wasn't the only one who felt that way.
"It's okay, Ruby," Weiss said suddenly, bringing her partner out of her internal conflict with a cute squeak. "You can stay."
This subject might not involve her directly, but it was still something that concerned her as a member of the team.
"O-oh." Ruby breathed a sigh of relief, then regained her composure and nodded to her best friend. "Okay."
All she could do now was hope that these three would come to a mutual understanding and not end up fighting...again.
As for Yang and Blake, not one of them was saying a word, still surprised by this turn of events.
Just now, they were busy thinking that Weiss could be a little bitch with her pretentious attitude. Then, she became a superior entity in every sense of the word and could very well be looking down on them.
Instead, Weiss regretted expressing her love and claiming her man...for fear of hurting those who wished they were in her place.
That made Blake and Yang feel bad, as if they were the insensitive bitches being influenced by envy.
With only that much, it wouldn't be wrong to say that Weiss was a better person.
"You don't have to apologize," Yang began, exasperated and not knowing what else to say. "Yes, being rejected sucks, but that's life for you."
And a bit of karma too.
After all, Yang had broken a certain number of hearts over the years, especially after she entered her teens.
"She's right," Blake had to agree with her partner, barely able to maintain eye contact with Weiss. "Besides, it was you who gave him a reason to live."
Something that no one else there had managed, making her the perfect woman for Vegeta...in more ways than one.
Because, damn, Weiss was beautiful now!
Blake had never felt less than other girls and women before, but now she couldn't help but feel inferior.
Not just because of Weiss's divine looks, but her power too.
Even now, this girl continued to radiate with power at levels never seen in this world, and that only an alien like Vegeta could surpass.
"That..." Weiss was blushing a little at Blake's remark, almost losing her composure. "I only did what I needed to do."
Just as a woman should for the man she loved.
"That's why you're the winner." Yang was thumbs up and smiling, even though her heart wasn't really in any of these gestures. "Because you had the nerve to reject his rejection."
Crazy stuff, she wanted to say, all the more so given the surreal circumstances surrounding that moment.
Not only had Vegeta blown up one moon and broken the other two, but he had unleashed power in a terrifying way... after threatening to destroy the entire planet just to prove a point!
That and rejecting them in a way that would make them give up on him without a second thought.
Honestly, it had worked and in a phenomenal way, but not with all of them.
Weiss was the only one to stand her ground and move forward until she reached Vegeta.
Not only that, she picked up the pieces of his broken heart and pulled him out of that abyss called despair... very different from Yang and Blake, both of whom were overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment and unable to do anything.
No matter how they felt about it, Weiss was a much better woman than they were and deserved to be the one to win Vegeta's affection.
"So stop worrying," Blake concluded, ready to leave and join the others, with Yang following close behind. Yeah, this is for the best.
Not just for them, but for Weiss and Vegeta too.
If things could only be so simple.
"I see..." Weiss could understand their logic, but not their hearts, and that was exactly what she wanted to confront. "If that's really true, then why did you look so sad when I kissed him?"
This made Blake and Yang stop in their tracks, both of them having their eyes wide with shock as they looked at this girl.
How on earth did she manage to see the kind of expression they were showing from that distance?!
Better still, why was Weiss still insisting on this matter!?
Even Ruby was shaking, not knowing where Weiss was going with this!
"Then what?" Yang did her best to maintain a casual attitude about it, without letting her emotions influence her words, and soon managed to flash a smile. "It's not like you're going to share him with us~."
A very suggestive idea that had been in the back of her mind for some time now.
After all, Yang and Ruby were the daughters of two different women. Besides, Vegeta was an alien and one of the most powerful beings in the universe, so Remnant's morals and common sense didn't apply to him.
The most unexpected result of her suggestion was to see Ruby agreeing with her and Blake's eyes going wide, as if the option hadn't even occurred to her until now, before looking at Weiss and expecting only the worst.
As expected, the girl who held all the cards didn't seem very open to the idea of sharing her man's affection.
If anything, it was like flicking a switch, and Weiss was radiating cold again, even without reverting to her celestial blue form, while looking at Yang as if she had kicked her dog or something.
Yup, she really was a selfish little bitch, and no one there could blame her for that.
"Okay, okay! Calm down!" Yang was quick to surrender, even taking a step back as she knew she didn't stand a chance against this girl. "I was kidding, damn it!"
How could someone so beautiful be so scary?!
In the end, it seemed that Weiss and Vegeta were made for each other!
"So you can be honest after all." Weiss sighed and let go of her anger, but said nothing for a moment of consideration. I don't like this, not even a little. However, she liked the way Ruby was looking at her and the conflict in her heart even less. "I... I'll think about it."
Silence followed by confusion was the immediate response to her words, and for good reason.
"What?" Blake didn't understand, or maybe she just preferred to pretend not to in order to avoid getting her hopes up and getting hurt again. "What are you talking about?"
There was no way in hell this girl was considering what Yang had just suggested!
"Exactly what you heard," Weiss repeated, annoyed in a way that was even painful. "I'll think about... sharing."
Again, it was something she hated from the bottom of her heart, and with that, it seemed Weiss had more in common with her father than she'd like to admit.
After all, if there was one thing they hated, it was giving up their belongings.
However, that didn't mean that Weiss would be losing Vegeta. She might have changed for the better and become more altruistic, but not to the point of being a saint like Ruby.
Just as promised, she didn't intend to let anyone in this universe take Vegeta from her, not even Kakarot.
Sharing, on the other hand, was not the same as losing, and there was another reason behind this abrupt decision.
"Why?" Yang had to ask, her lilac eyes wide and her hands shaking. "I can tell you hate the idea, so why?"
There was no reason for her to subject herself to something like that.
If it was for Ruby, Weiss's best friend, Yang might understand, but that wasn't the case for Blake and her.
They were teammates, lived together, and only got along half the time.
"Because..." Weiss hesitated for a moment, her gaze becoming solemn as she focused on the endless sky above. "When I saw the kind of expression you two were showing, I thought it could have been me down there, with my heart broken and wishing things were different."
Honestly, there was a good chance that this scenario could have been real, and that weighed heavily on her mind.
In short, what motivated her decision wasn't pity but the empathetic side of her heart.
"However," Weiss didn't miss a beat, let alone let these girls speak, even though Ruby looked ready to burst with happiness. "Regardless of what I've said, don't get your hopes up." She needed to make that clear, even if it contradicted her actions. "Because even if I decide to share, the final decision is not mine to make, but Vegeta's."
Hence why Weiss was remotely entertaining this option.
Unless she really pressured him, which wasn't in the plans, it was almost certain that Vegeta wouldn't accept anyone else.
Otherwise, an entity of power from an almost extinct race wouldn't have had only Bulma as a wife.
Honestly, the mere fact that he didn't have dozens or even hundreds of wives to try to repopulate the Saiyans could already be considered strange.
Since that wasn't the case, Weiss could only assume that Vegeta had honor as a prince and repudiated the idea of having multiple partners.
If that was really the reason, then why was she giving them hope? To apologize, give their hearts time to heal, and create other opportunities.
Who knows, maybe Vegeta knew some super-powered alien who looked human and was single?
What's more, Weiss was going to try, even if the chances of success were slim, to unite Blake with her brother. So much so that she would even ask Winter to help her make a decent partner out of that snobbish brat.
If she had managed to change for the better, then Whitley could too.
As a last resort, she would even ask Vegeta to help mold that brat into a man worthy of attention.
Hopefully...
As for Yang and Blake, they could hardly believe what Weiss had said, especially because of the evil little smile this girl had on her face, contradicting her angelic appearance.
Even so, the mere possibility stirred their hearts.
Certainly, sharing Vegeta wasn't ideal, even if the practice wasn't exactly abnormal given the disparity in numbers between men and women in Remnant.
Otherwise, polyamory wouldn't be considered a thing.
Still, this didn't feel right.
Unlike Weiss, Blake hadn't earned the right to walk alongside Vegeta, and she didn't want to be accepted out of pity or keep getting hurt.
Yang, on the other hand, had her heart pounding nonstop, and for the first time, she saw Weiss the way Ruby did: as a true friend.
