The wizards below had no idea someone had arrived overhead.
They continued pulling on the dragon, attempting to drag it into a large tent nearby.
"Damn it! What's wrong with this dragon? Why does it look half-dead? Honestly, I'm starting to think buying this enslavement chain from the goblins was a complete waste of money!"
"I have no idea... Damn it, this thing can't even be bothered to move. Even the enslavement chain can't make it budge. How did they even transport this thing here in the first place?"
"Don't remind me. I was there when it happened. It took dozens of people casting Levitation Charms together..."
"They used Levitation Charms on a dragon?"
"What else were they supposed to do? An ordinary dragon wouldn't have been worth the trouble, but this one is different! Just look at those horns. They're worth a fortune! This is a mutated dragon."
"I see. Then it's definitely worth it. Let's move faster! Get it inside and take it apart! If that Magizoologist tracks us down again, we'll be in trouble!"
"Why should we be afraid of him when we outnumber him so heavily? Forget it. Let's get more people over here to use Levitation Charms too!"
One of the wizards below ran into the tent.
A short while later, he returned with more than thirty others.
All thirty of them cast Levitation Charms on the dragon simultaneously.
The dragon slowly rose into the air, swaying unsteadily. The sight was absurdly comical.
Stroking his beard, Slytherin said, "This dragon is indeed rare. Breeding one to this extent would be extraordinarily difficult. Whether it's magical power or physical strength, it's far superior to an ordinary dragon... but there's definitely something wrong with its condition. What a waste of such a powerful body."
"I've seen this dragon before. I heard it's severely depressed. When I met it, another person and I accidentally pulled out one of its whiskers. It only cried out once and then didn't react at all..." Wade briefly recounted the incident where he had tried to rescue Hagrid near the dragon's head.
"What does 'depressed' mean?" Slytherin asked curiously.
"Well... look over there." Rather than answering, Wade pointed in a certain direction.
Behind a nearby tree, Newt was clutching his wand and carrying his case while secretly observing the camp.
It was obvious that Newt was extremely anxious, but with over thirty wizards in the camp, he was completely outmatched. Even though he had arrived earlier, all he could do was watch helplessly.
Pat!
Suddenly, Newt felt someone tap his shoulder.
The shock nearly sent his soul flying out of his body!
He hurriedly turned around and, upon seeing Wade smiling at him, instinctively rubbed his eyes, convinced he was hallucinating...
"Oh! What are you doing here? I thought I was seeing things!"
"They stole the dragon?" Wade asked.
"It's a long story... but at least I've finally found it. I've already called for reinforcements. Help should be arriving soon," Newt explained.
"But I have a feeling it won't survive long enough for your reinforcements to arrive." Wade pointed toward the camp.
The dragon had already been dragged halfway into the tent.
And those people had just said they intended to take it apart once it was inside!
"This..." Newt glanced over and immediately grew frantic. "Stay here. I'll go distract them! As long as they're chasing me, they won't touch the dragon for the time being. I just need to buy enough time for the reinforcements to arrive."
"How about you stay right here instead?" Wade said, patting Newt on the shoulder.
"No... wait. What exactly are you planning to do?" A sense of foreboding suddenly rose in Newt's heart.
By the time he came to his senses, Wade had already walked out...
"Uh... come back here!" Newt was practically panicking.
It wasn't until Wade casually knocked out one of the outer sentries with a Stunning Spell that Newt suddenly remembered that Wade was not an ordinary student...
Back during the attack on the basilisk, he had witnessed firsthand just how terrifying the boy could be.
With that thought, Newt gritted his teeth and followed Wade out.
"Who's there?!"
Neither Wade nor Newt made any attempt to hide themselves, so it wasn't long before someone spotted them.
"Damn it! It's that Magizoologist!"
"Kill him!"
The wizards immediately abandoned the dragon and surged toward them!
"Put this on."
Before they could reach them, Wade tossed a watch toward Newt.
Newt instinctively caught it, but before he could ask what it was, the watch automatically fastened itself around his wrist.
Click!
The moment it activated, three metal plates began rapidly revolving around Newt, intercepting several incoming spells with ease!
"Oh... in that case, what am I worried about?" Newt looked up just in time to see two enemy wizards seized by a giant earthen hand and dragged underground.
With a light flick of Wade's wand, a massive whirlwind erupted through the previously calm forest!
The opposing wizards were forced to squint against the violent winds, blindly firing spells in random directions.
At the same time, the previously clear sky suddenly darkened.
A moment later, countless tiny bolts of lightning rained down from above!
Each strike blasted small craters into the ground, while any wizard struck by one immediately convulsed and collapsed unconscious.
"There's something wrong with this kid! Release the trolls! Release the trolls!"
At the shouted command, two heavily armoured trolls burst out of the tent ahead, each wielding an enormous iron club!
Wade glanced at the collars around their necks and couldn't help laughing.
"Shatter."
With a light wave of the Elder Wand, the collars around the trolls' necks instantly cracked apart and fell to the ground in pieces.
"Imperio..."
Two Imperius Curses struck the trolls.
The pair of trolls, who had only just regained their freedom, immediately became glassy-eyed once more. Then they turned around and swung their massive iron clubs directly at the wizards!
"What is happening?!"
"Why have the trolls turned against us?!"
The sturdy walls surrounding the camp were soon smashed to pieces by the rampaging trolls...
The wizards fled in panic. Only a handful of the stronger ones remained behind, bravely trying to stop the trolls' destruction.
Wade paid no attention to the fleeing wizards. Instead, he casually patted the pocket on his left side.
A large pile of Chomping Cabbages immediately tumbled onto the ground.
With a light tap of his wand, the cabbages rapidly swelled in size until each was as large as a pumpkin!
Sneaker! Sneaker! sneaker!
Chomp! chomp! chomp!
Then they bounced after the fleeing wizards at astonishing speed.
The absurdly oversized cabbages, with their terrifyingly fast hopping and rows of vicious teeth, made Newt break out into a cold sweat just watching them...
If one of those things bit someone...
"Argh!"
A wizard's scream soon echoed from the distance...
Wade raised his wand again.
The surrounding trees immediately lowered their branches...
As the branches descended, they transformed into countless thick vines!
The vines lashed wildly throughout the camp.
Many wizards were sent flying by the blows and knocked unconscious.
Those who had already fallen were tightly bound by the vines...
Within moments, more than thirty wizards had been reduced to just five.
Those five had only just finished dealing with the trolls.
Now they stared at Wade in utter shock.
They would never have imagined that a teenager could possess such terrifying power!
Wade stood where he was, smiling as he met their gazes.
After a long moment, he chuckled softly.
"I'm rather short on time, so... have you decided how you'd like to die?"
"Wade... don't kill anyone," Newt quickly interjected.
