Yet, ironically enough, Ella found it tougher to walk to him at this moment. Even though she had never feared him before.
"Did they send the new food for me?" The man questioned, his tone laidback, "Just serve it here. This young master can't starve himself anymore…"
Adrian trailed off the moment he turned around and spotted Ella standing near the door, "It's you again."
Ella pressed her lips together.
Adrian tilted his head to the side, "Come here."
Adrian had said these two words countless times before but every time, his voice would be commanding, almost like a child's who wouldn't have it any other way.
But this time, he called her over in doubt as if he was not sure whether she would walk to him or not. And it did not matter either.
Ella walked towards the hospital bed, a burning sensation spread in her eyes as she met his gaze.
"You seem quite upset," Adrian remarked, letting out a helpless sigh, "Is it because I scolded you?"
