Chapter 831 - Chapter 827: The Heirloom of Friends

Medical Center.

The hospital-wide "big reveal" event is in full swing! 🔥

It's not just a recap of the past hook-ups or practice among the staff—it's a peek into what's coming next.

Yup, you heard that right!

This is gonna be a regular thing now.

From now on, if any hospital employee gets frisky in the wards, storage closets, bathrooms, break rooms, imaging rooms, operating rooms, rooftops, conference rooms, offices, or even the cafeteria—any "work meal" shenanigans—they've gotta log it.

No registration? If you're caught, it's a warning at best, or you're out the door at worst.

Oh, and if you skip the paperwork and end up in a Mark Sloan-style harassment lawsuit? Good luck—the hospital's not backing you up!

Meanwhile, Monica's doing great, and little Adam's healthy as can be.

After wrapping up their checkups, the Bing family of three left the hospital and headed back to their cozy little home.

Adam played chauffeur.

Because today isn't just their discharge day—it's also the day the Bings say goodbye to their apartment.

Monica and Chandler, with little Adam in tow, are moving to a standalone house in the suburbs for a happy, laid-back small-town life.

It's a big move Chandler pulled off while Monica was pregnant.

Monica's apartment.

The gang's all here!

"Why? Why? Why?!"

The second Adam and the crew arrived, Joey, who'd been waiting, let out a string of dramatic whines.

"Chill, Joey, you know why," Monica said, cradling little Adam with a helpless smile before covering her mouth to stifle a sob.

"Alright, enough!" Adam cut in. "Joey, don't make Monica cry.

Why are they moving? Too many reasons to count! I'll give you one:

Now that little Adam's here, his random crying is driving the neighbors nuts.

Not every neighbor's like you, Joey—belting out love duets with the big guy next door at the crack of dawn. Normal people can't handle that!"

"Hey! That's a beautiful way to start the day!" Joey protested. "It's how Joey Tribbiani kicks off his perfect mornings!"

"That's you!" the group shouted in unison.

Rachel yelled the loudest—she's all about her beauty sleep and hates anything that messes with it. Noise? Her mortal enemy. It's a direct attack on her looks! 😤

"But this is Monica's apartment!" Joey wailed. "I don't want you guys to leave!"

"What's your rush?" Adam teased. "Didn't you say in three weeks, when Nora has your daughter, you're marrying her? And you're doing a double wedding with Phoebe and Mike?

You'll be a family man with a wife and kids, living next door.

You're not worried about cramming all the baby stuff in there?

Or letting your kid ride a bike outside with a loyal pup trotting alongside, carefree, without stressing about cars or stray bullets?

And most importantly—aren't you scared of stepping out and running into a Phoebe-type again, getting bullied into a gender-confused mess where even girls look like eight-foot giants in your nightmares?"

"Uh, yeah, I'm worried!" Joey glanced at Phoebe (grinning like she owned the place) and Ross (scowling), then had a lightbulb moment. He threw his arms wide at Chandler. "Chandler, I'm outta here too! I'll buy the house next to yours. We'll still be door-to-door—our kids will have the best playmates ever!"

"There you go!" Adam laughed. "With your income now, buying a house is a breeze. I already had Janice reserve the place next to Chandler's for you—just sort it out with her."

"Rachel, Ross—you sure you don't wanna stay here?" Monica asked, looking at them. "The rent control's basically daylight robbery."

"Nah," Rachel said, leaning into Ross with a smile. "This is your apartment, Monica. Without you, it's not the same. Even if it's a steal, we don't want it."

"Okay, let's not get all sappy," Adam said with a grin. "I'm not taking your keys back. Anytime you're in the city for errands, feel free to crash here."

"Yeah!" The gang erupted in cheers.

Yup!

Adam renewed the lease on this apartment and the one across the hall.

Everything's pretty much untouched.

He told Monica to just buy new furniture for their new place—new life, new vibe!

But these two apartments, soaked in the gang's youthful joy? Adam wasn't about to let them fade away.

This kinda cash? Pocket change to him.

And yes, all six friends still have their keys.

Anyone can waltz in anytime—sometimes they don't even bother with the key, just shove the door open!

If Adam hadn't renewed the lease, Monica and crew would've had to hand over their keys to the building manager before leaving…

"Feels like we've all lived here at some point," Phoebe said after the cheers died down, scanning the apartment and the group with a sudden wave of nostalgia.

"Totally," everyone nodded.

"Not me!" Ross piped up.

"You stayed here one summer in college with Grandma, trying to make cash by dancing," Monica reminded him sweetly.

"…" Ross's face darkened as he glared at his little sister. "You're digging up ancient history now?!"

"Hahaha!" The gang cracked up.

Who hasn't had wild, pie-in-the-sky dreams as a kid?

And who hasn't cringed hard at those same dreams years later?

Well, Ross just has more cringe-worthy ones than most—whether it's dreaming of being a pro dancer, a singer, or the "Science Kid" comic artist. Mention any of it, and his face goes black! 😆

"Adam, you really didn't have to do this," Monica said after the laughter faded, looking at him. "As long as we're all together, anywhere can be a new source of happy memories."

"No worries," Adam replied with a smile. "You said it yourself—the rent control's a steal. Why let the capitalists save a buck?

This place holds twenty or thirty years of your memories—and over a decade of ours.

Letting it slip away would be such a shame.

I renewed it as a gift for little Adam, little Emma, and the rest!

Think about it—they'll grow up, move to the city for work, and just like you took this place from your grandma, they can crash here.

A new cycle! A happy one! How awesome is that?"

"Aww!" The group melted into mushy feelings.

"But it'll end someday," Monica said, touched but a little bittersweet.

"True," Adam nodded. "But only if we don't raise little Adam and Emma right—if they don't turn out as kind and fun as their parents.

As long as they can relive our days in these apartments, this place will keep being a happy home forever."

"Mhm!" The gang nodded, won over by Adam's godfatherly charm (and his wallet).

Exactly!

If little Adam and Emma earn their godfather's approval down the line, forget these two apartments—he'd probably keep the whole building standing!

Other families pass down antiques or treasures.

This crew's heirloom? These apartments—or maybe the whole dang building. Talk about a fresh, fun twist!
