Chapter 159 - Back From a War Zone

Succubi Chapter 159. Back From a War Zone

Evelyn muttered, "Oh my," and tried to duck behind me like that would help.

Too late.

Lilith was sipping her wine at the head of the table like nothing was wrong. Not a hint of judgment. Just quiet power in a silk robe with a glass of Temptation Red and a knowing little smile.

The others?

Not so chill.

Sera grinned lazily, reclining with her cheek against her palm. "Oh, Anomaly~" she said in her usual sleepy drawl, "you really took her, huh?"

Val choked on her drink.

Gladia snorted and nearly dropped a forkful of garlic-drenched infernal noodles.

Rivy leaned back in her chair, arms crossed under her very visible rack, and raised an eyebrow. "It was Evelyn's first, right?" Her crimson gaze narrowed with amusement. "But you both look like you came back from a war zone."

I scratched my head. "Yeah, uh… tactical victory?"

"Please," Rivy smirked. "You two look like you lost the war and loved it."

Evelyn tried to sit as quickly and quietly as possible, but her chair squeaked. Loud. Like it was personally betraying her.

Sera pointed. "That's the sound of a girl whose thighs gave out."

"I will end you," Evelyn muttered.

Sera just smirked.

I sat down beside her, still trying to play it cool. Reached for the roast drake slices like nothing happened. Poured some hellbroth into a glass.

Then Val leaned forward. "So… who was on top?"

Lilith cleared her throat.

Everyone froze.

She set her glass down gently. "Girls. Manners."

"…Sorry," Gladia said, barely hiding her grin.

Lilith didn't look mad. If anything, she looked amused. "Though…" she said, tilting her head just slightly toward me, "Evan, dear. You might want to check your neck."

I blinked. "What—?"

Evelyn reached over and turned my face slightly.

She sucked in a breath. "Oh my dark lords."

"What?"

She fumbled with her phone and showed me the selfie camera.

Hickeys.

Like, a constellation's worth.

Across my collarbone. My jaw. Even behind my ear.

I looked back at Evelyn. "Seriously?"

She shrugged, cheeks bright red. "You were asking for it!"

"You bit me!"

"Lightly!"

Lilith sipped her wine again, eyes twinkling.

Sera clapped slowly. "Anyway. Congrats. You two finally banged."

The clap echoed in the room like a goddamn gong.

I cringed and buried my face in one hand. "Why are you all acting like it was some kind of achievement?"

"Because it was," Sera said without a hint of shame, still grinning like the cat that licked the incubus. "I mean, come on. Do you see yourselves right now?"

Evelyn let out a strangled squeak beside me and buried herself deeper into her hoodie like she wanted to become fabric.

Across the table, Rivy tapped a finger against her wine glass. "Yeah. You two walked in here like you survived a dungeon boss fight. Barefoot. With zero potions."

"We were wearing shoes!" I snapped.

Sera leaned back and smirked. "Emotionally barefoot."

"Spiritually barefoot," Val added, her voice dry.

"You smell like heatstroke," Gladia chimed through a mouthful of something glowing and way too spicy.

I exhaled hard, slumping into the chair. "This is… way too much."

"No, this is exactly enough," Sera said. "Evan. Look me in the eyes and tell me you didn't just have the most absolutely unhinged, freak-tier sex of your life."

My mouth opened.

Then closed.

"…I'll allow it," I muttered.

Sera grinned like she just got an S-rank.

Evelyn, still hiding in her hoodie, mumbled, "Please stop looking at me like that…"

"No promises," Rivy said.

Val leaned in toward me, her pierced eyes narrowing in curiosity. "You okay though? You look... blissed out."

I shrugged. "I mean…"

I looked at Evelyn, her cheeks pink as hell, lips still a little puffy from earlier.

"…Yeah," I admitted. "I'm okay. Just, y'know... kinda sore. My aura's still sparking a little. My legs feel like jelly. I'm starving."

"Ah," Gladia nodded solemnly. "Post demon climax syndrome."

"That's not a thing."

"It is now," she grinned, raising her fork like a doctor delivering a terrifying diagnosis.

Sera popped a grape into her mouth and chewed slowly. "So tell us. Was it her body? The ropes? Or did something finally click in that arrogant demon brain of yours?"

I gave her the flattest look I could manage. "You want a play-by-play?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Too bad. We live here."

I looked to Lilith for help.

She didn't even blink. Just gave a tiny shrug and took another delicate sip of wine.

Traitor.

I stabbed into my food. Roasted turkey thigh glazed with honey-pepper sauce. Still steaming. Smelled divine. The contrast between the soft music playing in the background and the residual ache in my thighs was surreal.

"Honestly…" I said, chewing thoughtfully, "I think I was just... really in the mood."

Sera tilted her head. "Horny?"

I narrowed my eyes. "Dangerously horny."

Val choked on her juice.

Even Evelyn laughed, hiding behind her hand. "He's not wrong."

"Must be the aura leak," Gladia said, tapping her fork to her chin. "You do kinda glow like a pride-fueled lighthouse."

"Don't remind me," I muttered.

"Sexy," Sera corrected. "But embarrassing for you, sure."

"Wait, wait," Rivy interrupted. "Back up. Evan. You seriously never felt like that before? Like, ever?"

I paused.

And yeah, she was right to ask.

Because thinking back... I hadn't.

I'd had sex. Sure. Fun ones. Awkward ones. But this? What Evelyn and I did?

That was something different.

"…No," I said finally. "Not like this."

Evelyn glanced sideways at me.

"I've never gone that deep. That intense. It wasn't just about release," I said, chewing a little slower now. "It felt like I needed it. Not just wanted it. Like... I let something go. Or maybe something broke. But in a good way."

The table quieted slightly.

Even Lilith tilted her glass and gave me a glance that looked almost approving.

Evelyn's voice came soft. "I felt that too."

I turned to her, surprised.

She didn't hide this time.

She looked at me, cheeks still red, but her eyes met mine with something raw.

"I thought maybe I was just imagining it," she said. "That it was because I was new to it. Or because I liked you more than I should. Maybe obsessed a bit?"

I blinked. "You—wait."

Her eyes widened. "Shit."

The table exploded.

Rivy facepalmed. "Oh, for fuck's sake, now we're officially in a dorm drama arc."

Lilith just smiled faintly, swirling her wine.

Evelyn groaned and collapsed face-first into the table. "I'm going to murder all of you."

I chuckled, feeling heat crawl up my neck too. "Well... I guess that's fair."

Lilith finally spoke, calm and elegant. "Well. So long as you both honor the emotional responsibility of what you've started, I see no reason to object."

We all turned to look at her.

"…That's it?" I asked. "No comments?"

She smiled. "You were late for dinner, Evan. That's your only sin tonight."

Evelyn and I exchanged a look. One that slowly cracked into shared, exhausted laughter.

Maybe we were a mess.

But we were our kind of mess.

And damn if it didn't feel good.
