Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

Planet Vegeta finally vanished from the universe in a fierce explosion. When the space around it returned to calm, the once beautiful blue-and-white planet was gone from its original orbit, leaving behind only scattered, irregular asteroids floating desolately.

Only these asteroids remained to tell the tale of a planet that once existed here.

"King Frieza, all life signals from the direction of Planet Vegeta have completely disappeared," Kikono reported the results of his scan to Frieza.

Frieza chuckled, his purple lips curling into a confident smile. "Since I personally took action, naturally, there were no survivors. Heh, the fireworks from the destruction of an advanced planet are indeed far more spectacular than those of lesser worlds."

Berryblue snorted coldly. "Just because of a momentary displeasure, you wiped out such a formidable combat force under your command. Lord Frieza, you are truly capricious. Because of this, the Frieza Force won't be able to expand externally for quite some time."

There was an unmistakable tone of reproach in her words.

"Berryblue, do you believe I made the wrong decision?" Frieza lowered his voice.

"Isn't it obvious? The Saiyans may be crude, but they were excellent warriors. If they truly displeased you, there were other ways to weaken them. If you had assigned them the most dangerous missions, I believe they would have been more than willing."

Berryblue showed no fear of Frieza, locking eyes with him firmly.

The aliens present broke out in a cold sweat, terrified that such bold words would incur Frieza's wrath.

"Hohoho..."

Frieza narrowed his eyes but, unexpectedly, did not get angry. "Berryblue, you misunderstand. I wasn't in any particular hurry to destroy the Saiyans. It was simply because Lord Beerus took a disliking to Planet Vegeta and wanted it erased. Destroying the Saiyans was just a convenient afterthought."

Kikono immediately chimed in, "That is indeed how it happened, just as Lord Frieza said."

Berryblue was slightly taken aback upon hearing it was an order from the God of Destruction Beerus. "So it was Lord Beerus' decision... That explains it. I thought you destroyed them because you feared the legend of the Super Saiyan."

Frieza scoffed and displayed an expression of utter disdain.

"The so-called Super Saiyan is nothing more than a fairy tale the Saiyans made up to glorify themselves. There has never been any factual basis for it. Do you think I, Frieza, would fear such a thing? To be honest, in this entire universe, aside from Lord Beerus, there is no one I fear. Even my father is no longer my match."

"That said, the Saiyan race is indeed quite interesting. Unfortunately, they are too headstrong to be truly useful to me. By the way, Raiga and his squad are still out on a mission, aren't they?"

Shanbo stepped forward gracefully and replied coolly, "Raiga's squad consists of five members. They are currently carrying out a mission on a remote planet and did not return to Planet Vegeta this time. Shall we eliminate them, Lord Frieza?"

Ever since Frieza issued the command to exterminate all Saiyans, Shanbo had been keeping an eye on Raiga's squad.

Frieza waved his hand dismissively, a sharp glint flashing in his scarlet eyes. "Leave them be. I'm curious to see if they can become these so-called Super Saiyans."

Then, Frieza turned to Shanbo and Dodoria and issued another order. "Let the Frieza Force begin their operations. Eliminate all remaining Saiyans except for Raiga's squad. Keep it discreet."

"Understood!"

"Rest assured, Lord Frieza."

Shanbo and Dodoria pledged in unison.

Seated in his hovering throne, Frieza smiled faintly. "Mr. Shanbo, Mr. Dodoria, do not waste too much time. We already have several clients waiting for their planets. If we fail to deliver, we would be in breach of contract."

Berryblue cast a skeptical glance. "Would Lord Frieza actually adhere to a merchant's promise?"

Frieza smirked elegantly. "Hohoho, Berryblue, I am a businessman, after all."

Indeed, despite being ruthless and evil, Frieza was a businessman who kept his word.

In business, Frieza conducted himself like a refined gentleman. Even when dealing with weaker warriors within his army, he displayed courtesy and ensured they were paid fairly.

Of course, this was merely the confidence that came with overwhelming power. The disparity between him and the weak was so vast that Frieza could afford to show generosity. However, if someone truly provoked his wrath, he would obliterate them instantly, leaving not even dust behind.

Over the years, Frieza had led his forces on a rampage across the Northern Galaxy, seizing planets without restraint. Yet, he never occupied them himself—instead, he sold them to wealthy clients throughout the universe.

To Frieza, he already reigned supreme over the cosmos. Controlling more planets was pointless.

His campaigns of conquest were more of an amusement—an experience of the lives of the lower beings. Like a billionaire accustomed to lavish feasts, occasionally indulging in simple dishes just for a change of pace.

To illustrate: imagine living in a remote rural village, in a house spanning two or three hundred square meters but with no access to water or electricity. No one would envy you; they'd only see it as a harsh life, far inferior to a small fifty-square-meter apartment in the city.

However, if your bank account contained tens of millions, then such a rural life would not be seen as hardship but as an experience.

Frieza personally leading his troops into battle had a similar reasoning. He enjoyed the thrill of combat, as well as the feeling of supreme dominance.

Every time he witnessed his enemies' expressions of pain and despair in the face of death, he felt sheer ecstasy—a deep satisfaction. Compared to that, owning mere planets held no interest for him.

"Mr. Dodoria, Mr. Shanbo, I wish you success in your mission."

Frieza nodded toward them as he sat back in his spacecraft.

"Hahaha! I will make sure not a single remaining Saiyan is left alive!"

Dodoria laughed heartily, his fleshy, spiked body quivering with excitement like an oversized water balloon. But despite his rotund appearance, he was not to be underestimated—his battle power exceeded 20,000.

Shanbo, ever more refined than Dodoria, simply nodded coolly. "Rest assured, Lord Frieza, we will eradicate the Saiyans as swiftly as possible."

As he watched Dodoria and Shanbo leave the command room, Frieza turned, a cruel smile forming at the corners of his purple lips. His eyes glowed eerily as he gazed into the endless void of space.

The history of Planet Vegeta had come to an end. Along with it, the once-proud Saiyan race had been utterly destroyed.
