If you ask about my opinion on the whole battle, it wasn't even a fight.
Yes, they were troublesome but not as deadly as I had initially thought. I shouldn't have put too much effort to be honest.
Let's run it back.
As my opponent swung his axe downward, I quickly stepped aside from the direction it was heading.
As the axe hit the ground, the impact cracked the arena surface.
But before the axe even reached the ground, I had already flipped myself into the air, avoiding the aftershock that came right after.
Landing on the tip of the axe, I could see the changes on my opponent's expression.
'Oh, it's already too late, buddy.'
Bringing my right hand up, my five fingers stretched wide and with it, I brought it down across my opponent's entire torso.
The gruesome sound of flesh being torn ring the entire arena.
Blood burst out from my opponent's wound.
As five huge torn marks were left upon my opponent's body... and he collapsed right after.
The crowd fell into dead silence, as my unconscious opponent's body was covered in its own pool of blood.
My eyes turn to my hand soaked in its red liquid. Rubbing my finger, feeling the texture of slippery, wet, and slightly sticky.
"When was the last time I did that move... It feels nostalgic, really."
I said as I loosened my hand, soaked in my enemy's blood.
The tournament continued on.
From there, I end up giving my other opponent almost the same treatment. Nothing seems challenging enough even after facing my last opponent.
I was the last one standing.
"That was easy."
Nobody questions how I end up winning, just a long silence.
Shortly after I was handed the prize for winning the tournament, but let's be real, that was not what I was really after.
Standing in the middle of the arena, the crowds slowly disappear one by one. Then, two people, covered in masks with identical uniforms , approached me, handing me an envelope.
Taking the envelope from their hand, I remove the wax sealing the envelope and open it.
To simplify things, Inside contained my invitation into the organization.
Before I even finished reading, one of the individuals handed me the organization's uniform and told me to follow them.
Without much question I join the two. We went quite the distance from the city and before long the carriage entered a more rural place. Turns out I was brought to one of the organization's bases, and there I was officially promoted to be one of its members.
I was introduced to my colleagues of the same ranking and given a full tour of the organization's base.
The prison, the lounging area, the kitchen, the training rooms, the laundry room and all you can expect is a functioning living place... But I only really cared about one thing.
Not to long into the tour, I was brought to the meeting room. Here supposely, all the higher members of the organization would gathered, including the leader.
And the highest of the ranking has their portrait in the room.
I looked at all of them until my eyes caught the very person I had been searching for.
"So you are in this organization, cursed lady."
Saying this in amusement, my tour guide turned to look at me.
Looking at the portrait he began spilling about the figure in the portrait.
"That is Miss Arlen, also known as the Cursing Flame. She is one of the twelve members of the Abyssal Depth, the highest ranking to the organisation... She is also the head of the House of Rose."
Miss Arlen, huh? So that's your name.
" From my own knowledge she's the least liked among the twelve because of her unwillingness and silent demeanor."
"..... But I liked her."
My answer caught a shocked look from him.
"Did I hear that wrong?... You must be kidding."
I left him unanswered as I continued staring at her portrait.
