Closing the book, I place it on top of the table.
Leaning my back against the chair.
I was silence for a moment.
"Why did I even do that".
It unlike of me to do such thing yet I did. Why?
The same could be apply to the second noteworthy encounter.
The situation is not to far off, yet I did what I did.
"Is it because I was bored?"
I feel like that is to easy for an answer. I had to look deeper into this at some point.
"Complicated" I said sipping the last bit of tea in my cup, before placing it down.
Then, the sound of door rang from across the room.
The main had return and with a plate of sweets this time around.
She close the door behind.
"I only had left for a moment and you already got pretty work up on yourself".
There is this desolate smile look on her face.
"First of all how do you even know that, you weren't even here. Second, isn't maid suppose to be polite. What with the smirk look you got there" I said in near somewhat astonish and also agitate voice
The maid facial turn to polite smile as if her politeness just come all of the sudden.
She step closer to my position before placing the plate on the table.
"Maybe you didn't realise just how loud your inner voice are sir. Should I brew you a new batch of teas?"
I pay extra for this and now I'm regretting my choice. Self note, always check what kind of service you will get in the future beforehand.
But there is no point of regretting now, just had to put up with it.
Letting a small sigh. I give a small nod.
My eyes turn to the book, before picking it back up again.
As I was opening to find the pages where I had left off, a commotion is happening down on the street. But it not loud enough to bother my reading.
What did catch my eyes is the sparrow that just landed on the ledge of the balcony.
'resting maybe'.
But then it jump off, without opening it wings.
My head instinctively look down. Yet the sparrow had dissapear.
My eyes turn to look at the pages again.
' I'm going to pretend I never saw that happening'
"Huh? Did the sparrow just commit suicide"
The maid speak with a somewhat shock look in her face. But also doesn't seems too suprise.
'This place is getting weirder by the minutes'
I though before focusing on the book. It time to look back at the second noteworthy occurrences.
