Chapter 399: The Cycle Has Just Begun

Because of her tragic past, the Love Goddess despised traitors especially those who betrayed their lovers.
Anyone who dared to enter the lake with an unfaithful heart would suffer her wrath.
Only true lovers could pass her test and be rewarded.
Liars and cheaters, however… would pay the price.
Tang San, familiar with the trials, wasn't worried at all.
Before entering, he confidently explained the rules to Xiao Tiao.
Then, standing by the lake, he proudly declared his identity
"I am the Asura God, Tang San!"
He demanded answers.
He wanted to know what had happened to the God Realm!
But the Love Goddess ignored him.
She simply initiated the trial.
Tang San, believing he had nothing to fear, stepped forward with confidence.

He froze.

He still had Xiao Wu his true love, his wife.
He gave her the medicine, watching as she miraculously awakened from her coma.
At last, they could be together again!

"Who are you?"
She had lost all memory of him.
Tang San was devastated.
And then
His father in law broke his promise.
The deal was void.
The bodyguards beat him up again and threw him out.
He watched helplessly as Xiao Wu left him behind.
The Final Blow
After half a year, Tang San recovered.
And so, he decided to seek out Xiao Tiao.
He wanted to explain everything, to reunite with her.
But when he finally found her…
She was pregnant.
Another man's child.
She stood there, glowing with happiness, as a gentle husband held her hand.
Tang San's blood boiled.
He lost control.
His eyes burned red with rage.
"You cheated on me?!"
He roared in fury, feeling his entire world collapse.
But Xiao Tiao simply smirked.
"How is it any of your business?"
"You could love two women… why can't I love another man?"
Tang San was shattered.
He snapped.
His rage consumed him.
He lunged at them, intending to kill them both.
And then
CRACK!
The bodyguards arrived.
They beat him down.
This time
They made sure he would never recover.
Tang San screamed in agony, writhing in a pool of his own blood.
He could only watch, powerless, as his wife walked away with another man.
Her final glance at him?
A look of pure disdain.
As if he were nothing more than a pathetic, whimpering stray dog.
The Endless Cycle of Suffering
The audience watched in silence.
Some actually felt a little sorry for him.
But just as they thought it was over…
Huo Yuhao wasn't finished.

Xiao Wu returned.
She had regained her memories!

Their marriage grew cold.
Their love faded.
And one day
Xiao Wu became pregnant.
Tang San's world shattered.
But he swallowed his rage.
He pretended nothing was wrong.
He hoped she would stay.
But Xiao Wu began bringing her lover home.
Her parents mocked him endlessly.
His life became a waking nightmare.
And in the end
She threw him out.
She laughed in his face.
"You're not even a real man."
His last shred of dignity was crushed.
And so
He climbed to the top of a skyscraper.
And jumped.
"The First Cycle is Complete."
In the God Realm, Huo Yuhao smiled.
Satisfied.
Then
He erased Tang San's memories.
And sent him back into the cycle.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Until one day… maybe, just maybe…
Huo Yuhao's rage would finally fade.
