Chapter 389: Unexpected Confrontation The Vicious Mother and Daughter Face Off

Han Li and Qian RenSnow Empressd not use spatial abilities to directly reach Star Luo City. Instead, they traveled along the same path as the advancing Spirit Hall army and Bibi Dong, radiating divine light as they went and ordering the Spirit Hall affiliated soul master troops to halt their attacks. The true brilliance of the Angel God appeared, and all battles ceased.

It was not that the projected images couldn't deliver the message, but this method allowed for greater accumulation of faith power. On this stage, long prepared in advance, Qian Renxue was the symbol, but Han Li was the true orchestrator and the mastermind behind it all. Meanwhile, Bibi Dong, who was desperately seeking ascension, was naturally cast as the designated villain. At the very least, she had already embarked on the path to ascension.

The only losers were the noble families and vassal soul master forces within Star Luo Empire, who functioned as regional warlords and military governors. They were the primary forces resisting Spirit Hall and suffered the greatest casualties. With this battle, their extinction was all but certain not for any grand reason, simply because Han Li didn't like them.

After once again issuing orders to halt warfare in another city, Han Li and Qian Renxue simultaneously turned their gazes toward Star Luo City. The scene above it was similar to the one that had formed over Heaven Dou City earlier, though weaker in intensity but still astonishing.

The sky above Star Luo City was dyed a dark purplish red, emitting an unsettling aura. The activated Rakshasa Domain radiated an aura of ultimate evil, filled with resentment and slaughter, making anyone who saw it shudder in fear.

"Did she succeed?" Han Li smirked, turning to Qian Renxue beside him. "Alright, it's time for the heroes to make their grand entrance."

Qian Renxue tightened her grip on the Angelic Sacred Sword without saying a word, though the divine aura surrounding her intensified. Flames ignited across her golden wings, resembling a burning sun, as she streaked toward Star Luo City, bathed in golden radiance.

Han Li chuckled and followed closely behind.

Above Star Luo City, despite the sun still hanging high in the sky, the sight of the dark purplish red mist made the city's residents feel as if they had fallen into an icy abyss.

Their minds screamed at them to flee, yet their bodies refused to move, as if their joints had rusted shut. They stood frozen, trembling in place.

Within the ominous mist, Bibi Dong's once beautiful face twisted continuously, her features distorted by sinister patterns of dark energy. These markings, resembling spiderwebs or the features of some malevolent entity, spread across her body, flashing with eerie lights that seemed to roar in silent fury, shaking the minds of all who beheld them.

Her nails had dug into her palms, indicating the immense pain she was enduring, yet she clutched the Rakshasa Scythe tightly, making no sound. Physical agony seemed inconsequential to her.

At last, the sinister markings completed their final connection. An eerie wind of unknown origin dispersed the dark mist, revealing the newly formed Rakshasa God's divine armor, swirling with a purple aura that carried a distinct malevolent presence.

From the back of this dark armor, four massive scythe like blades extended on each side. The twin scythes she once held had now merged into a singular colossal purple black weapon, its surface engraved with countless ominous patterns that radiated an oppressive glow.

"Rakshasa is complete eternal descent into the abyss."

A voice devoid of any emotion echoed through the void, immediately followed by Bibi Dong's slightly unhinged laughter.

"Hahaha… I did it. I finally did it!"

There was a trace of joy in her laughter, but it was faint. Instead, within her current form, the overwhelming sense of resentment and madness was on full display.

"You seem quite pleased with yourself."

A brilliant golden light shone across the sky Qian Renxue, the true Angel God, descended over Star Luo City. Just the radiant aura emanating from her body instantly purged the oppressive gloom, washing away the chilling dread. The city's people felt warmth return to their bodies, regaining control over their limbs at last.

And then, chaos erupted.

The city filled with shouts and screams as everyone instinctively rushed toward the gates. Even the dullest among them could sense the impending disaster. Moments ago, they had believed the imperial palace was the safest place in the city, but now, it had transformed into the most perilous location.

"Evacuate the city in an orderly fashion. I will ensure your safety. If anyone causes trouble, I will kill them on the spot."

Han Li's voice resounded across the city, amplified by divine power.

He casually tossed a corpse onto the ground, the body landing with a heavy thud. In his hand, he held a small ornate pouch, and as it fell, a cascade of gold soul coins spilled out. Yet not a single person dared turn back to retrieve them. The previously chaotic crowd quickly became much more disciplined.

Spirit Hall's Holy Son, Han Li people recognized him immediately. He was a well known figure. Anyone who had practiced Xuantian Technique had seen his portrait attached to the cultivation diagrams.

"Qian Renxue, instead of ruling Heaven Dou properly as its emperor, you couldn't wait to rush to Star Luo to throw your life away?"

Bibi Dong's gaze was filled with intense loathing as she stared at Qian Renxue, though a flicker of complex emotion crossed her eyes. The next moment, however, she quickly reverted to her usual demeanor when speaking with her.

She had now ascended as the Rakshasa God her mind was no longer clouded by interference, and she had regained full clarity.

She knew that the one who had ascended to godhood before was Qian Renxue, but she hadn't expected her to arrive so quickly. She hadn't even begun her revenge against the Qian family yet, and her real target was actually Qian Daoliu.

In reality, even now, facing Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong still didn't know exactly how she planned to take revenge on her own daughter.

"I'm here to stop you. The war can end now. Also, step down."

Qian Renxue's expression remained completely indifferent, even though she noticed the emotions flickering in Bibi Dong's eyes.

When she was a child, every time she saw Bibi Dong, she would be dismissed with the same tone just like now. Then she would run off and cry in secret.

But this time, she wasn't backing down.

"Heh, do you think that just because you've become a god, you can go against me now?"

Bibi Dong sneered, "And you actually want me to step down? Who do you think you are to demand that? The Qian family owes me."

"Tsk, how shameless. Stealing someone else's foundation? You're far more skilled at that than me. By your logic, if I take over the position of Supreme Pontiff, does that mean the Spirit Hall should bear my surname instead?"

Han Li's figure appeared beside Qian Renxue, looking at Bibi Dong with undisguised disdain. If it weren't for his good chest brother Qian Renxue standing here, he might have outright mocked her: "Your womb (son palace) isn't that valuable."

The moment Bibi Dong spoke her earlier words, Han Li isolated the surroundings and quietly sent everyone else outside the city.

With his abilities, he saw no reason to let Qian Renxue's family drama become public gossip across the entire continent. That wasn't something to be proud of.

Bibi Dong didn't show any particular reaction to Han Li's mockery. Instead, the madness in her aura grew even stronger.

"Where is Qian Daoliu? Since you're here, is that old bastard hiding from me?"

While Han Li was indeed on her kill list, her primary target was Qian Daoliu.

From her perception, Han Li did not possess the aura of a divine position or the fluctuations of a god's divinity. The divine energy within him was at most equivalent to what Qian Daoliu previously had nothing more than a fish on the chopping block, easily slaughtered at will.

His talent was terrifying, sure, but now that she had become a god, he had no future to speak of.

"You want to kill my grandfather?"

Qian Renxue's expression remained calm and composed, showing no hint of emotion.

"Are you going to stop me? Or do you think I shouldn't kill him?"

Perhaps sensing the hidden killing intent within Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong's expression suddenly twisted. Memories surged back, and even though she was no longer consumed by dark energy and emotions, this remained her greatest pain.

"...And what right do you have?"

Qian Renxue looked at her and coldly spat out three words.

Bibi Dong froze, and in the next moment, a sinister purple red aura erupted from her body, enveloping her in murderous intent.

"You don't understand anything "

"Why wouldn't I understand?"

Qian Renxue cut her off mercilessly, her golden eyes growing colder.

She had given Bibi Dong a chance. She hadn't acted immediately because she wanted to confirm her true intentions. She trusted Han Li's judgment, but she also needed to verify it for herself.

And now, she had her answer.

"Hahahaha! You really do have that filthy Qian blood in your veins! From the moment you were born, I hated you. And now, I see I was right you're nothing but a cursed spawn!"

Bibi Dong's gaze toward Qian Renxue was filled with pure loathing, and her words dripped with venom.

"Mhm, you're absolutely right. I am a Qian. But I don't see any problem with that. On the contrary, it's your existence that disgusts me."

"Thanks to you, dear mother, by your logic, shouldn't I be unable to tell right from wrong?"

Qian Renxue remained perfectly composed, but her sharp words never ceased.

Han Li, who was standing to the side, was genuinely stunned.

Was this really Qian Renxue?

This was the first time he had ever seen her directly engage in personal attacks, and she was dragging herself into the insults along with Bibi Dong.

Even Bibi Dong herself seemed momentarily stunned.

She had never hidden her disdain for Qian Renxue. Cold indifference and venomous insults had been her standard response every time Qian Renxue approached her as a child.

But this was the first time Qian Renxue had fought back in kind using the exact same methods.

"Having a mother like you is the greatest misfortune of my life. I would have been better off as an orphan. At least orphans don't have to endure undeserved hatred."

Qian RenSnow Empressrectly called her by name, without the slightest hint of emotion. Though her words dripped with mockery, her tone was utterly detached.

The atmosphere fell into a dead silence.
