"Captain Wei..."
The police officer, having just finished reporting the situation, turned around to ask Wei Ming about the next steps, only to find the spot where Wei Ming was standing completely empty.
"Has anyone seen Captain Wei?"
He shouted anxiously, eyes filled with panic, knowing he had just witnessed Wei Ming recklessly charging into the fire.
"Hey, brother," the officer's shoulder was tapped, and he turned around to meet a pair of clear eyes. A young man with a black baseball cap gave a gentle smile and obediently pointed at the crowd across the way. "You're talking about the officer who was just sitting on the ground, right? I saw them call him away just now; apparently, someone got injured, and he went to check it out."
Giving the young man who appeared behind him a deep look, and seeing his obedient and steady demeanor, the officer nodded, patting the young man's shoulder, "Thanks, kiddo. You aren't injured, are you?"
"No, I'm fine."
