Initially, he wanted to spend more time with his mom at the hospital, but thinking of Xiaonuan returning alone, and the fact he had promised her they would travel today, only for it to fall through mid-way, he couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.
Therefore, after seeing his mother asleep, he hurriedly rushed back.
However, as soon as he entered the house, he did not see Xia Xiaonuan's figure.
"Young Master, didn't you... didn't you go on a trip? Why have you returned?" the butler quickly approached, asking curiously.
"Young Mistress isn't home?" Nangong Yaoling glanced around, furrowing his brow as he asked. From the butler's tone, it seemed he still didn't know they hadn't gone, could it be Xiaonuan hadn't returned home?
"Young Mistress..." the butler slightly furrowed his brows and quickly said, "Young Master, Young Mistress hasn't come back since she left with you this afternoon."
Nangong Yaoling's expression subtly changed.
