The streets of Aurelion were calm in the early morning.
Golden light from the rising sun washed over the stone buildings and narrow roads. The city looked peaceful. Too peaceful.
Aamir and Kunal walked behind Edrin as he led them through the district.
The houses around them were simple but clean. The walls were made from pale stone that reflected sunlight softly. Many homes had small gardens or hanging lanterns near their doors.
People were beginning their day.
Some greeted Edrin politely as they passed.
Others bowed their heads slightly.
Aamir noticed something.
Every time someone greeted Edrin, they looked at the sky for a brief moment before continuing their work.
Almost like a habit.
Or a ritual.
Kunal noticed it too.
But neither of them said anything.
They continued walking.
After a few minutes, the streets became wider.
The buildings here were taller and built with polished stone.
And then—
The bathhouse appeared.
Even from far away it was impossible to miss.
