Chapter 372 - Great Paradise Alliance: Part Seven

Fang Yuan quickly added a few words to his request.

"I understand, of course, that Lord Paradise Earth did not wish for the Soul Path to proliferate," Fang Yuan said. "However, as part of my Immortal Ascension, my soul's foundation was damaged. It has gotten to the point where it is difficult for me to even refine gu worms for fear of a fatal injury. Naturally, I would not wish harm upon any other organism. However, I was wondering if Paradise Earth had found a way to counter Soul Path methods without having to rely upon the destruction of other people's souls?"

Fang Yuan had his own Pill Path Methods which he had developed from his knowledge of the Immortal Apothecary, but these were a rather crude method.

He wanted to know if Paradise Earth had other ways of strengthening a soul without the use of other souls.

Without a doubt, during his journey, Paradise Earth must have fought with other Soul Path cultivators. He must have developed some kind of system to counter them - at least, so Fang Yuan figured.

"It is certainly possible," Lu Wei Yin said. "Paradise Earth had some methods to repair the soul which are not nearly as crude or violent as other methods. But Junior Brother Fang Yuan, it will take me some time to get such methods ready."

After these words, the mood at the meeting lightened up slightly. Fang Yuan hadn't committed an unforgivable faux pass yet.

"Senior is truly too kind," Fang Yuan said, smiling.

"Is there anything else I could help you with?" Lu Wei Yin asked.

"Well, now that you mention it," Fang Yuan said, not hesitating in the slightest to ask for what he wanted. "I am in need of Formation Path tools in order to help with the management of my aperture. I know that Lord Paradise Earth Immortal Venerable was quite skilled when it came to formations."

"Ah, now that is far easier to get than any Soul Path research method," Lu Wei Yin said. "Here, I can exchange the details with you via Treasure Yellow Heaven."

They exchanged information, and Lu Wei Yin handed him an Information Path Gu worm.

Fang Yuan took a look at the contents; it was a mortal Formation Path inheritance.

With that said, however, it was a complete inheritance, not something that would be found easily even on Yellow Treasure Heaven.

Fang Yuan would need to dedicate time in order to gain any kind of comprehension of these formations - it could not equal the instant attainment level advancement of using dream realms. However this was all that he could get for now.

"Are there not more advanced methods and techniques?" Fang Yuan asked Lu Wei Yin's Will in Yellow Treasure Heaven.

"There are, but I would recommend you master these first before moving on to bigger projects. Making formations is a dangerous art; much like refinement you might undergo backlash. If you start making Immortal formations the backlash will be all the greater," Lu Wei Yin answered.

That would've been the end of it, but another Will approached Fang Yuan's in Yellow Treasure Heaven. He thought initially that this might be the pesky person asking for Ambition Gu; but no, this was regarding a Pill Path Inheritance that he had advertised for.

"Friend," this Will asked. It did not give a name out for itself, remaining anonymous. "You had asked for a Pill Path Inheritance?"

"Yes."

"I happen to have one - though I am only willing to trade in exchange for a similar Luck Path Inheritance." A information-type gu worm was placed in Yellow Treasure Heaven, and treasure lights began shining. Not as brightly as they had with Lu Wei Yin - this was a partially incomplete inheritance.

"I do not happen to have one," Fang Yuan replied. "The price can be adjusted if-"

"I have no lack of Immortal Essence Stones," the Will replied. "It is only a Luck Path Inheritance that I am interested in." The Luck Path had been hoarded by Giant Sun Immortal Venerable and little was known about it publicly. How could Fang Yuan have a Luck Path Inheritance?

'Actually, do they think that I'm from the Northern Plains? Is this a method to try and figure out my location?' Fang Yuan thought. 'Or do they truly want a Luck Path Inheritance?'

"In such a case, I have no answer to give you," Fang Yuan said.

The mysterious Will simply disappeared in response without even a formal farewell, leading Fang Yuan to wonder who that was momentarily until he turned his attention back to the party.

"I am rather skilled, if I must say so myself, in setting up formations, if you will excuse my lack of humility," a Mushroomman Gu Immortal said. "I can certainly help set up formations for you, Fang Yuan. And though it hurts me to say, I cannot provide such services for free, though a discount is very well in the cards for a member of our Great Paradise Alliance."

"Thank you very much. However, I'm going to have to pass for the time being," Fang Yuan replied.

"Is that so? I am a Grandmaster when it comes to the Formation Path. Ah - no matter, do please keep me in mind!"

Fang Yuan had no intention of ever taking him up on that offer.

The reason was simple: perhaps things were different in this Paradise where people were more trusting, but Fang Yuan would not show the contents of his aperture to anyone under ordinary circumstances even if this had just been him during his past life; let alone this time where his aperture was so special. It could not be revealed to anyone, and outside interference could also hamper its development.

"And in case you need help dealing with your calamities and tribulations, do not hesitate to ask for help."

"Indeed, we all know how frightening they can be, especially for newly ascended Immortals."

"I also have several materials and methods, as well as killer moves if you would like to purchase them. Ah- of course, a discount for you, Junior Brother."

"Thank you, I will keep your kind words in mind," Fang Yuan said, though much like with the formations, he was not going to take their help in this regard.

They continued talking and exchanging words. Many of the Immortals invited Fang Yuan to accompany them, but he declined most invitations.

"Please do not think I am neglecting all of you," Fang Yuan said with a slight smile to the others. "It is only that I cannot visit you all at the same time. Otherwise, were it up to me, I would split myself into twelve just to accompany all of you."

"Aha, it is no problem at all! Next time, Fang Yuan, certainly."

Fang Yuan did, however, agree to join Jun Shen and pay a visit to the Rockmen Tribe that lived within this Paradise.

Jun Shen was a bit taken aback by Fang Yuan agreeing to his invitation. He had mostly just made it out on a whim, not expecting Fang Yuan to actually agree to it.

But now that Fang Yuan had agreed, there was nothing that he could do other than say, "Well then, please, Junior Brother Fang Yuan, come and have a drink with me!"
