Chapter 62 - 496: Invitation Letters from Various Wizard Academies

Locke Augustine thought for a moment, then nodded and said, "Not just you, even I have received a large number of invitation letters in the past month. I'm planning to organize them and pick out the ones worth noting."

"Crawler Garden... I've heard of this wizard organization. It's a very famous wizard organization from Yuze Marsh. I remember that Crawler Garden is very good at breeding reptilian creatures, as well as those magic plants related to reptilian magical creatures."

"I recall one of the ultimate goals of that wizard organization is to create an ecosystem suitable for the survival of reptilian magical creatures."

"That wizard organization seems to worship reptilian magical creatures."

The reason Locke Augustine remembered it was that he had read an article from this wizard organization in the free library of the wizard airship before—Crawler Garden believed that the most powerful magical creatures in the world did not currently exist, nor were they the modern dragons, but rather the [reptilian] magical creatures that had once ruled the Wizard World for an unknown number of years. Therefore, they had always hoped to use modern magical means to recreate those reptilian magical creatures.

Locke Augustine had a vivid memory of that article because the magical creatures created by Crawler Garden using modern magic... every single one of them looked a lot like dinosaurs.

Meanwhile, Crawler Garden insisted that dragons had the bloodline of reptilian creatures, but also believed that dragons belonged to the sky while reptilian creatures belonged to the earth. The connection between the two was not significant, and they had completely diverged during the evolutionary process.

Locke Augustine said, "By the way, Crawler Garden did indeed send an invitation to me as well. Since Crawler Garden loves to invite Archaeologists over, they recently want to use ancient biological bloodlines to build that era of reptilian magical creatures ruling the earth, which likely only exists in their articles and fantasies."

Locke Augustine said, "Not bad. After all, Crawler Garden is a top-tier institution in the Three Ze Lands, with many Third Ring Wizards and even Throne Wizards. I think it would be good for Montgomery and Barbara the Witch to develop there. Congratulations to you both."

Montgomery and Barbara the Witch had happy smiles on their faces.

Montgomery said to Locke Augustine, "This is all thanks to you, Boss. If it weren't for you, I might have... I might have even tried to illegally smuggle myself and risk going to the Spiral Basin to become a Black Wizard."

Barbara the Witch covered her face. "You were only thinking about it; I was already flirting with Black Wizards back then and even participated in several of their operations."

"But later, I suddenly saw Boss inviting all civilian wizards to participate in the Yunze Cup. I wanted to try one more time. Who knew that Boss would really lead us to win the Yunze Cup championship? I went from being an ignored One-Ring Wizard who was even on the verge of becoming a Black Wizard to a wizard who was actively sent an invitation letter by a top-tier institution in the Three Ze Lands."

Barbara the Witch said, "It really feels like a dream."

Barbara the Witch asked Locke Augustine with a smile, "Boss, you didn't see that I had participated in Black Wizard activities before, did you?"

Montgomery and Locke Augustine shared a smile. Locke Augustine sat in his chair and laughed, "No, quite the opposite. On the first day you arrived, Montgomery complained to me that you were a Black Wizard."

Barbara the Witch looked at Montgomery in surprise.

Montgomery explained, "You can't blame me; we weren't very familiar with each other back then."

Locke Augustine asked, "When do you two plan to leave?"

Montgomery said, "Since there's no time to lose, we've already bought the boat tickets and are leaving today."

"Boss... goodbye."

Barbara the Witch also fell silent. "The year participating in the Yunze Cup was probably the happiest time of my life. Exploring the truth with Boss was truly a pleasant thing."

Locke Augustine nodded slightly. "Alright, then go ahead."

Montgomery said, "Boss Locke Augustine, the next time we meet, you won't already be a Second Ring Wizard, will you?"

"It might not take that long for us to meet again." Locke Augustine raised an eyebrow. "Transportation in the Three Ze Lands is convenient. While other Wizard Lands require crossing natural chasms to communicate, the Three Ze Lands alone have webways connecting them in the sky. In just a few hours, you can travel from one Wizard Land to another."

"You can also take the water route; Yun Lake naturally connects the Three Ze Lands."

"So, although the Three Ze Lands are three separate Wizard Lands, in terms of transportation convenience, they are like a single Wizard Land."

"Not to mention the convenient internal transportation of the Three Ze Lands; even traveling from the Three Ze Lands to other Wizard Lands is much more convenient."

Montgomery and Barbara the Witch couldn't help but nod.

Montgomery said, "That's true."

After the two left, Locke Augustine sat back in his seat and thought, "Tacitus and Leopold don't seem to want to leave Six Towers Land. Both want to follow me, or rather, follow Alicia after I leave."

"They've both found their own places."

"What about me?"

Locke Augustine opened his desk drawer, and inside was a pile of letters, all sent through the Eye of the Hurricane Magic Array of the White Wizard Association's Dispatch Division.

On them were the magical seals of various wizard academies.

Locke Augustine flipped through these letters. They were sent from various Wizard Lands in the Eastern Border Region, with a total of 17 Wizard Lands sending him invitations.

This was a sharp contrast to his previous state of being ignored.

Even...

Locke Augustine looked at a letter from the Star Domain Sea and frowned. The job application information he had posted at the Dispatch Division a month ago actually received a reply from the Star Domain Sea this time.

"Tower of Dawn." Locke Augustine opened the letter and learned after reading it that the Tower of Dawn was a Wizard Academy specializing in the sub-direction of Light Magic within the Shaping School. This time, a Third Ring Wizard in the field of Light Magic had a sudden inspiration while researching a spell to replace the sun and moon for lighting; he wanted to create a magic plant that could replace them.

This idea required the participation of an excellent Breeder to be completed.

According to the letter, he wasn't the only Breeder invited. It was just that the wizard academies in the Star Domain Sea had very high standards; if they were going to invite someone, they wanted the best Breeders. Therefore, they had sent an invitation to him, the champion of the Yunze Cup, while also inviting many other outstanding Breeders.

"If I go there, I won't be a Chair Mage, I won't be given a teaching position, and I won't even be given a spot in the True Knowledge Institute. I'd start as a minor mentor without any official status." Locke Augustine's expression changed slightly. The other party clearly just wanted a group of Breeders for a sudden whim, letting them help that Third Ring Wizard complete his idea.

In fact, that Third Ring Wizard himself probably wouldn't take the idea too seriously; the specific experiments would be done by his other students.

Locke Augustine said, "As expected of the Star Domain Sea, they certainly have lofty airs. For the me who hadn't won the Yunze Cup championship, this would indeed be an opportunity to enter the Star Domain Sea."

"But for the me who has won the championship, agreeing to these conditions and going to the Star Domain Sea would be quite a loss. The Tower of Dawn doesn't seem like an academy that would value Breeders much; in fact, that academy has never been involved in Breeding Science before." Locke Augustine thought it over and looked at the other teaching invitation letters. "There's also Sun Shadow Peninsula, Hui Ming Borderland, Dragonfall Land, and invitations from top wizard academies in the Three Ze Lands."

"I need to choose carefully."

"Now, I have the right to choose."
