Chapter 77 - 511: Video Conversation with a Third Ring Wizard

511: Video Conversation with a Third Ring Wizard

Once the wizards from the Basil Family fled, Alicia hurriedly asked Locke, "Locke, are you alright?"

Locke said, "Although I'm a bit exhausted and want to have a good sleep, I'm indeed fine."

After checking him over, she found no issues and breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Great Wizard Sura's soul drifted nearby, somewhat speechless. He muttered in his heart, "How could anything be wrong? This little fellow's magic pressure has reached at least the 8,000 level, and he has several very high-level bloodline powers in his body. Compared to his state before entering this secret realm, his power has increased by at least one level."

"This is more than just not being injured; it's a leap in status."

Great Wizard Sura watched Alicia and Locke talking while thinking to himself. 'Wait, even so, with Locke's power, it should be completely impossible to contend with a First Ring Crystallization Wizard using Ritual Magic.'

'The two differ by a whole major rank!'

'Moreover, to force a Bloodline Wizard to borrow the power of the Blood River to the point of being summoned away, it means Locke possesses at least Second Ring characteristics. But as a wizard in the Liquefaction Stage, logically speaking, it's unlikely for him to have Second Ring characteristics.'

'His growth history is also quite clear and straightforward.' Great Wizard Sura realized he was overthinking again and immediately cut off those thoughts. 'Forget it, I'm already a dead man, why bother thinking so much.'

Locke and Alicia chatted and laughed, exchanging a lot of knowledge about Potionology along the way.

During this year, Locke hadn't set aside his research on the Gelas Aging Potion. Every day, he spent a certain amount of time making attempts with practice materials. By now, he had basically mastered the brewing techniques for the Gelas Aging Potion.

Now, after their discussion, Locke's understanding of the Gelas Aging Potion deepened once again.

When Locke returned to the White Dragon Tower and was inside his office at the White Dragon Magic Gem University, Great Wizard Sura spoke to him, "Locke, I'm very sorry about the matter with the Basil Family. I didn't expect them to be crazy enough to move against you."

"However, it's not a big problem anymore. With Wizard Nidhogg dead, the hardline faction of the Basil Family has significantly shrunk, so it's actually not much of an issue."

"Since Wizard Nidhogg essentially committed suicide, you don't need to worry about being hunted by the Basil Family, nor do you need to worry about them making things difficult for you within the Six Towers Land."

"It's just that this recent period might be sensitive; after all, a First Ring Crystallization Wizard of the Basil Family has died."

Locke nodded. After the Yunze Cup, he hadn't planned on staying long in the Six Towers Land anyway. The honors he needed to take and the things he needed to do had all been completed and obtained.

Even the First Ring Wizard Secret Realm, he had already entered once.

He wasn't a Bloodline Wizard, so continuing to enter wouldn't be very meaningful. Moreover, the allocation of slots for the Wizard Secret Realm was extremely limited; even family wizards of the Six Towers Land had to wait a long time for a single entry opportunity.

Therefore, there was no longer any point in staying in the Six Towers Land.

He was only waiting for the Yunze Cup Tournament Committee to fulfill its promise and negotiate terms for him with the two Halls of Advanced True Knowledge.

Locke nodded to Great Wizard Sura, "I know, Great Wizard Sura."

After bidding farewell to Great Wizard Sura and Alicia, Locke returned to his house located at an altitude of 10km. He noticed that several wizards had tried to contact him through his grey mist slate.

In the bedroom, Locke ordered a half-elf maid to clean up, then summoned the grey mist slate. He saw a long string of messages from Harlan Vera and... a friend request.

When Locke saw the other party's identity, he was slightly stunned, because the one who wanted to add him as a friend was none other than Witch Yekaterina of the Golden Crown Mountain Dragon Blood Society.

That Third Ring Witch, a Throne Wizard.

Locke thought for a moment and chose to accept the friend request. Immediately, he saw a video conversation request from the other side of the grey mist slate.

Without much hesitation, Locke chose to agree.

Suddenly, Witch Yekaterina appeared on the grey mist slate, wearing a leather cloak made from a Second Ring creature, the Silver Moon Magic Wolf, with black and gold trim. She elegantly handed her scepter to a servant and sat on a throne encrusted with gems. Holding a coffee cup, she took a light sip of wizard coffee and then said to Locke, "Locke Augustine, right?"

Locke stood up from his seat to show respect to the Third Ring Wizard and Throne Wizard. "Yes. Lord Yekaterina, may I ask why you are looking for me?"

After the previous great battle, Locke was currently full of fatigue.

Although he had won, the consumption was quite significant.

He wished he could sleep for several days and nights immediately.

Witch Yekaterina glanced at Locke. "Hmm? The Light of the Mind in your mental abyss is so depleted?"

"You must have just gone through a major battle."

Locke was startled. He hadn't expected this Throne Wizard to see through his situation at a glance.

Furthermore, he didn't know what the mental abyss or the Light of the Mind were; the insight of a Third Ring Wizard was certainly far superior to his own.

Witch Yekaterina placed her coffee cup on the table and scanned Locke with a scrutinizing gaze. "Pay attention to sleeping lately. With your mere First Ring magic level, at this stage, you have no means to replenish the Light of the Mind. Meditation is useless, absorbing magic power is useless; only by sleeping like an ordinary person can you replenish your Light of the Mind."

Locke suddenly understood. Perhaps at the Third Ring stage, wizards already understood why the body would mutate into a Sleep Ghost after long periods of meditation without sleep.

Witch Yekaterina said, "I didn't come looking for you for any other purpose this time. You can consider this an interview."

"Director Morrison came to see me, but I believe that although we gained a certain level of understanding of you during the Yunze Cup, I still need to meet you personally to judge how much you are worth."

"My patience for low-value things has never been very high."

Witch Yekaterina looked at Locke's left hand. "An undying dragon scale? You actually managed to obtain one!"

Even through the grey mist slate, Witch Yekaterina still pointed a finger, forcing the golden undying dragon scale on Locke's left hand to manifest.

Yekaterina felt the restlessness of the True Dragon bloodline power within her. That Third Ring-level adult True Dragon bloodline power seemed as if it wanted to seize her body at any moment. "Good, I have seen your value. Now, the only thing you can do is wait for Director Morrison's reply."

The next moment, the connection with the grey mist slate was cut.

Locke watched with a bitter smile. This Third Ring Wizard, and a Throne Wizard among them, had proactively sought him out and then immediately disconnected the call.

"A Third Ring Wizard... Logically, I should be able to feel the wizard's magic pressure through the video conversation, but just now I couldn't sense Witch Yekaterina's magic pressure at all, as if she were an ordinary person." Locke shook his head. "It must be that there is a dimensional gap between us, so I cannot perceive her magic pressure."
