Chapter 504: Defeating the Swallowing Heaven Demon Emperor, Meeting the Heavenly Emperor
Inside the Ancient Heavenly Palace at the Heavenly Emperor's Mausoleum, Xiao Tiance's avatar stepped forward. With a flash, he appeared on the central plaza.
A Demon's Arrogance
Across from him, the green robed man's eyes gleamed with mockery as he spoke:
"How many years has it been? Finally, someone dares enter this place.
But now that you stand before me, shouldn't you kneel?"
Xiao Tiance chuckled, shaking his head. "Kneel? To you?"
The avatar's laugh was filled with disdain. He couldn't help but find the Swallowing Heaven Demon Emperor amusing.
"Decades ago, your clone fled from me like a beaten dog. If I hadn't been merely at the mid Saint Heavenly Sovereign stage back then, none of you, including the so called Holy Heaven Demon Emperor and Dark Heaven Demon Emperor, would've escaped. Now you, a weaker clone than that one, dare to act arrogant before me?"
The Demon's False Confidence
The Demon Emperor's expression froze. His body instinctively retreated dozens of meters as disbelief flashed across his face.
After stopping, he scrutinized Xiao Tiance's avatar, his gaze filled with doubt.
"You lie! Before me, such arrogance will not stand. I am the master of the Ancient Heavenly Palace! My name once shook the heavens. Have people forgotten who I am?"
He then regained his composure, realizing that Xiao Tiance's aura only registered at the peak Earth Sovereign level. With that revelation, his confidence returned, and a sinister smile crept onto his face.
"No matter. Since you're here, stay and keep me company. I've been alone for far too long, and I could use the entertainment. If you please me, I'll let you take anything you want from the treasures of this palace."
A Bold Proposition
Xiao Tiance's avatar smirked, sensing the demon's hubris. He decided to play along.
"Oh? Then how about this, 'Heavenly Emperor'? Would you dare accept a single attack from me? If you survive, I'll stay here and entertain you."
The Swallowing Heaven Demon Emperor laughed loudly. "One attack? Ha! You amuse me. Do you think a mere Earth Sovereign can harm me, a peak Spirit Heavenly Sovereign? Very well. Show me what you've got!"
Xiao Tiance's avatar kept smiling, his expression calm and composed. "Be careful. My attack might surprise you."
"Bring it on!" The Demon Emperor sneered, spreading his arms in mock invitation.
Unleashing Power
Xiao Tiance's avatar stepped closer, the gap between them narrowing to just ten meters. Then, in the blink of an eye, he vanished and reappeared directly in front of the Demon Emperor.
"Eight Seals as One!"
The Imperial Seal Technique, now modified with three additional seals, exploded with power as eight seals formed in rapid succession. Each seal brought a palpable increase in pressure, causing the surrounding space to tremble violently.
At first, the Demon Emperor remained unimpressed, his face a mask of smug confidence. But as the seals began to merge, his expression shifted.
"What… what is this? How can someone at the Earth Sovereign level create such overwhelming power?!" he shouted, his voice tinged with panic.
By the time he realized the impending danger, it was too late to flee. The eight seals merged into one, emitting a force that even a Heavenly Sovereign couldn't withstand.
A Crushing Defeat
The Demon Emperor turned to run, but Xiao Tiance's avatar sneered. "Run? Do you think you can escape now?"
A sudden surge of Saint Heavenly Sovereign level energy burst forth from the avatar, pinning the Demon Emperor in place like a mountain pressing down on his body.
"Boom!"
The combined power of the eight seals descended upon the Swallowing Heaven Demon Emperor with the force of a collapsing star.
Under the terrifying impact, the Demon Emperor's body trembled violently before shattering into countless fragments. His Spirit Heavenly Sovereign level strength was utterly annihilated, leaving no chance for escape or survival.
Aftermath
Mandala, who had been watching from a safe distance, was stunned into silence. Even as a Lower Earth Sovereign, she found it hard to comprehend the sheer gap in power between Xiao Tiance's avatar and the now destroyed Demon Emperor.
"This… is the strength of the Immortal Sovereign?" she murmured, her voice trembling.
Xiao Tiance's avatar turned back to her with a faint smile. "That pest has been dealt with. Let's continue our true objective lies ahead."
Mandala nodded mechanically, her gaze filled with awe and reverence as she followed him deeper into the Heavenly Emperor's Mausoleum.
In her heart, she knew one thing for certain: Xiao Tiance was a force unlike anything she had ever seen, a true master of the Great Thousand World.
With a single palm strike, Xiao Tiance's avatar unleashed the Eight Seals as One, an earth shattering attack.
The Swallowing Heaven Demon Emperor barely had time to gasp in disbelief:
"Impossible! The aura of a Saint Heavenly Sovereign at its peak how can it come from you "
Before he could finish, the massive hand seal slammed into his body, disintegrating him into nothingness.
"Boom!"
The tremendous explosion echoed through the Heavenly Emperor's Mausoleum, obliterating a nearby mountain peak. A colossal hand shaped crater was left in the mountain, reminiscent of the iconic Buddha Palm from a Stephen Chow movie.
The Demon Emperor Falls
Xiao Tiance's avatar smirked, glancing at the Demon Suppression Token hanging at his waist. The points on the token had increased significantly.
"Foolish to the core. If you hadn't underestimated me, perhaps I'd have been forced to waste more effort under the restrictions of this mausoleum. But your arrogance sealed your fate. Compared to the fragment that escaped decades ago, you're even dumber."
Mandala's Awe
Nearby, Mandala was stunned by how quickly Xiao Tiance had dispatched a formidable Demon Emperor. With a flash, she appeared before him, her eyes filled with admiration and disbelief.
"Immortal Sovereign, you are incredible! That was a Heavenly Sovereign, and yet you eliminated him so effortlessly!"
Xiao Tiance chuckled, withdrawing his spiritual energy. He ruffled Mandala's head affectionately, a small smile on his lips.
"It's nothing special. A mere Spirit Heavenly Sovereign at his peak is nothing more than a brittle shell. Add to that his foolish arrogance, and there was no challenge in defeating him."
For Xiao Tiance, this was just another victory in a long line of battles against the Outer Realm demons. Over the years, the number of Demon Emperors he had slain was immeasurable. His Demon Suppression Token held more points than anyone else's in the entire Great Thousand World, a testament to his unparalleled might.
Summoning the Heavenly Emperor
After defeating the Demon Emperor, Xiao Tiance turned to Mandala and spoke gently.
"Now, it's time to summon the Heavenly Emperor's soul. You haven't seen him in so long. After speaking with him, you can return to seek out your original body, the Ancient Mandala Flower."
Mandala's expression wavered between excitement and nervousness.
"To see the Heavenly Emperor again…"
Xiao Tiance reassured her with a smile. "Don't worry. Take a step back while I summon him."
With that, spiritual energy surged within him, his aura rapidly growing. He stomped his foot, and a vast spiritual formation began to take shape, encompassing the entire plaza.
"Buzz!"
Ancient and intricate runes rotated above, radiating brilliant light. The spiritual formation stabilized, isolating the mausoleum from the surrounding space.
Xiao Tiance approached the Heavenly Emperor Sword, a faint golden glow emanating from it. Placing his hand on the sword, he channeled an immense surge of spiritual energy into it.
"Heavenly Emperor, awaken!"
The sword trembled violently as if resonating with a deep, ancient power.
"Buzz!"
A white clad figure emerged from the sword, his presence noble and commanding. His calm, regal demeanor exuded an imperial aura that made all who saw him instinctively revere him.
A Reunion After Years
Mandala trembled at the sight of the Heavenly Emperor's ethereal form. Her voice quivered as she murmured:
"Heavenly Emperor…"
The figure's gaze swept across the plaza before locking onto Mandala. His expression softened. With a flash, he appeared before her and embraced her gently.
"Mandala… what has happened to you? Why are you in this state?"
The Heavenly Emperor's tone was filled with both concern and affection. To him, Mandala was like a daughter he had raised and protected.
Mandala clung to him, tears streaming down her face as she recounted everything that had transpired since the destruction of the Ancient Heavenly Palace her injuries, her escape, and her struggles to survive.
Acknowledging Xiao Tiance
After Mandala finished her story, Xiao Tiance stepped forward and bowed respectfully.
"Junior Xiao Tiance greets the Heavenly Emperor."
The Heavenly Emperor returned the gesture, his eyes scanning Xiao Tiance's avatar with curiosity.
"Your avatar… it is remarkable. While it doesn't match my 'One Qi Transforms into Three Purities,' the ability to channel your main body's strength at will is an exceptional technique."
Xiao Tiance smiled modestly. "Heavenly Emperor, you overpraise me. I came here with a specific purpose, as Mandala may have already mentioned. I humbly ask for your guidance in obtaining the One Qi Transforms into Three Purities divine ability."
The Heavenly Emperor's expression grew serious. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded.
"If your goal is to combat the Outer Realm demons, then I will grant you this technique."
Xiao Tiance bowed deeply. "Your generosity will not be forgotten, Heavenly Emperor."
Conditions for the Divine Ability
The Heavenly Emperor raised a hand to stop Xiao Tiance from rising.
"I have two conditions. If you can fulfill them, the technique and everything within the Ancient Heavenly Palace will be yours."
Xiao Tiance straightened and replied earnestly: "Please speak, Heavenly Emperor. If it is within my power, I will do everything to meet your conditions."
The Heavenly Emperor's voice carried both authority and sincerity:
**"First, when the time comes, find a worthy successor to revive the Ancient Heavenly Palace and carry on its legacy.
Second, protect Mandala. She is as dear to me as a daughter. Ensure that no harm befalls her as she seeks her path."**
Xiao Tiance nodded without hesitation.
"I swear to fulfill both conditions to the best of my ability."
Satisfied, the Heavenly Emperor's expression softened. "Very well. Let us begin the transfer of the divine ability."
