Chapter 244 - The Love That Keeps him Human

The sky turned soft blue with stars blinking gently above the city roads. Inside the convoy, no one spoke loudly. They were all tired — but the kind of tired that carried happiness. The kind of tired that only comes after spending the day with family, laughter, and love. The cars finally rolled into the gates of home.

Everyone stepped out slowly, stretching arms, fixing hair, adjusting outfits — but every face had the same thing. A smile.

Mirshad stepped out, opened the door for Sophia, and placed his hand on her shoulder. She leaned into him with a smile. "Are you happy?" he asked gently. "More than always," she replied. They walked in, hand in hand. The family was already inside — some heading to their rooms, some sitting in the main hall with tea and soft music.

Mirshad and Sophia entered their room and changed into comfortable nightwear. She sat on the edge of the bed, legs slightly tired. He walked over, pulled a cushion near, and placed her legs on his lap. She laughed softly. "If someone took a picture now, the world would see the most powerful man alive massaging his wife's legs." Mirshad grinned. "I'd be proud of that picture." He massaged gently, with care — not as a king… but as her man.

Then he laid beside her, pulled the blanket halfway over both of them, and placed his hand gently on her belly. "All I do… it's for this. For them. For every unborn child, not just ours." Sophia kissed his forehead. "You've already won that battle. You changed the future." But inside, he knew better. This peace was a pause… not the end.

He turned, kissed her deeper — a kiss that carried every emotion he couldn't say. His fingers brushed her hair back as he whispered, "Thank you. Without you, I would've been a storm with no direction… a man with no soul." Sophia smiled and replied, "And I'll be here always — to make sure you're never alone."

He chuckled and leaned back, joking, "But there's a problem, love… What will you do when you're over 50 and I still look like this?" She playfully punched his chest. "I'll kill you. If I grow old and you stay like this, I know how women will look at you! God better make me young too!" They laughed. Not like royals. Not like warriors. Just like two souls who finally had a night to be human.

And neither of them knew… the god she mentioned was lying right beside her, holding her, loving her… ready to become the father of not just three child — but a new future.

Hours passed. The stars faded. The sky began to warm. Birds chirped lightly outside the windows. Mirshad's phone buzzed once… then again. Still half-asleep, he reached over. Eyes barely open, he glanced at the name on the screen… and suddenly, his eyes sharpened.
