Kaelith moved alone through the dense fog.
Each step she took echoed faintly beneath her boots, swallowed almost instantly by the unnatural silence surrounding her. The white mist curled around her body like something alive, brushing against her skin, obscuring everything beyond a few steps.
She looked around sharply.
"Where the hell did that masked bastard run off to…" she muttered under her breath, irritation slipping through her voice. "How am I supposed to find him in a place like this?"
She paused briefly.
Her eyes scanned the endless white void around her.
Then—
A small smile appeared.
"It's a bit scary… but also kind of fun," she said softly, almost amused. "After all… this is my first time experiencing something like this… real thrill."
There was something unfamiliar in her tone.
Excitement.
Freedom.
Something she had never truly felt before.
She straightened her posture.
"Alright… let's do this. If I keep moving forward, I'll find someone eventually."
