"I have seen gods and their might... And I know that you are not one."
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
In the quiet night that rested above the city of Ebony, even though peace was dominant, crime was not recessive - It was still awake!
A goblin man, his skin greener than emerald, his hair whiter than cotton, and powerful horns in place of his eyes, was cloaked in pure black attire to dance with the night.
His blood boiled and his heart ached from his greed; he must rob a mansion.
The Goblin man jumped from building to building, veranda to veranda, street to stream, as he was headed to his pre-chosen destination.
The city of Ebony is divided into 4 mighty sections, counting the highest layer where the governing body resides to gaze upon the city's horizon.
The goblin man was interested in the 4th layer, as it fetched a heavy price for any fool who dared to attack it.
The Goblin man used his attribute, Sky Dancer, to waltz through the air and land on the freshly cut grass of the halo layer, the crimson light of Edirp and the pink light of Tsuki adding a layer of splendour.
"Foolish," The goblin man boasted to himself. "It was so easy, I didn't even have to use my weapon."
He saw his destination as clear as the streams, standing front-facing to him like a carefully wrapped present.
Never Night Academy of Witchcraft; Ebony's equivalent to the Black Meadows academy.
He waltzed with the air again, landing on the academy's domed roof.
With his old, faulty grace gems, he found his way along the halls of the academy.
It was splendid! Absolutely splendid!!
Expensive portraits and vases were laid along the passage walls, easy for the taking.
The goblin man, foolish and avaricious, began to unload the treasures in his cloak, as much as he could and as much as he couldn't.
Then he felt a sharp pain in his groin as he fell to his knee to inspect it. Suddenly, the hallway was flooded with blinding arrays of colours, and one tore his arm from his shoulder.
The Goblin man screamed in terror, foolish to be caught, but it was better than what he was facing.
"It can't be," The goblin man thought to himself. "Isn't that the squire to the knight Raffaele Leone? What is she doing here awake?"
But was she awake?
The arrays of light swiftly vanished from the halls, leaving the hallways illuminated by the two moons. Emerging from the shadows was a girl, but not an ordinary girl.
She was covered in red, green, and purple blood; her gait suggested she was rather asleep, and her threatening demeanour confirmed that she was being controlled.
"YOU DEVIL!!!," The Goblin man cried out, "YOU DEVIL!!!, YOU DEV-"
And as quickly as those words left his mouth, his breath left his heart faster.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The Silver thieves slowly and steadily began to rise from their defeat, their ability and grace surging in power and energy.
Caesar was left speechless as he felt Gatwick's grace skyrocketing. 2X, 3X, 5X, 10X...
"So, Caesar," Gatwick said charmingly. "Interested in hearing the story?"
Caesar's heart ached, and he immediately hated that. He couldn't deny it; he really wanted to hear the story.
Was it fake?
Was it real?
Caesar just wanted to know the details.
"Why should I trust you?" Caesar asked sincerely.
Gatwick appeared behind Caesar, too quick for the prodigy to react.
"Because I could have killed you right now," Gatwick whispered. "But I sincerely want to get this secret off my chest. You could put a hole in my heart and pull out the secret, and I will be grateful. But this secret...it haunts me. And knowing that your father is in it, Nova."
Caesar's temper broke. He swiftly turned around to use his cleaver again, but a sharp, heavy dent appeared in his armour. Caesar knew it was Gatwick, but he was too fast to counter.
"Did I strike a nerve with that name, or your father?" Gatwick asked atop a pillar.
Caesar stared at Gatwick and smiled. He raised his cleaver towards his opponent, his divinity working overtime.
"Tell me your secrets, Villain," Caesar commanded.
The prince was excited.
Every bullet Warwick shot erased matter, as her body was surrounded by a dark flame-like substance that negates any of Chalybe's attacks, organic or divine, before they could cause any damage.
The princess and the Assassin were irritated.
York's teleportation and position exchange were faster and more brutal, and it was made worse in the Neverland of Abbey. As Aurelia tried to open her Neverland, Abbey would appear and land devastating blows on the assassin.
Anytime Izobel was ready to summon her avatars, York would appear and wound her with a dagger.
The wolf was exhilarated.
Canary opened the battle by throwing a part of the mountain. Fenrir easily destroyed it, but it was a diversion, as Canary landed a crescent-shaped attack on Fenrir's armour.
Multiple attacks were aimed at the head, but Fenrir narrowly dodged all of them before one slit open his throat as he tried to deliver his roar. Now, he couldn't chant as blood flooded his mouth.
The Order was surrounded.
Mr Pierre and the leviathans battled, hindering the teacher from reaching his students.
All hope felt lost.
Caesar and Gatwick exchanged heavy blows, but Caesar was being pushed back the most. The paragon jumped over the thief, wanting to deliver another shot with his broken cleaver, but the thief reacted with a stab to the chest, damaging Sol's casing.
Caesar used his divinity, but Gatwick used his superior speed and agility to close the gap and send the young knight flying.
"Poor souls who fight for Zion," Gatwick sang, "You fight for what you don't even understand. Is that even fair?"
Caesar unloaded all his bullets, steaming and blistering hot, and drove them into the ground.
"We nobles live above the ocean of poverty without even trying to drain it."
Caesar's brain was overheating. He used his control over heat to damage the battlefield, his right eye flaring crimson.
York got distracted by the glint of Caesar's eyes, his iris pure scarlet and bloody like a young devil. York's hearts skipped a beat, her eyes dilated, and her blood rushed.
"It can't be..." York whispered.
Caesar sent his flames through the crust, shattering it into rubble. His brain worked faster and faster, and faster.
But as Caesar's brain worked, Gatwick appeared beside the young knight, kicking him through a stone pillar.
Caesar coughed up blood as his white-hot flames sliced through the ground like butter, and his weapon was ready to enhance the destruction.
Caesar clapped his hands and began to chant, his divinity rising as a calm red aura enveloped the future knight, thought predating actions.
"Sword of the heaven that never sleeps"
"Sword of the soldier that never fails."
"Sword of the paladin that never keeps."
"Weapon of the hero that always prevails."
A large circle appeared beside Caesar, sparking and glowing like a door from the heavens.
Caesar reached into the circle and brought out his new weapon. His hands were now occupied by two blades: his damaged cleaver that still thirsted for battle and another sword, made out of pure blue flames, emitting its blinding light like a newborn star.
But still, Caesar's brain was drowning in ideas and unrefined intentions.
Caesar used his divinity to send a boulder towards Gatwick, but the silver thief swiftly destroyed the projectile.
"What are you doing?" Gatwick thought.
Gatwick planted his feet into the ground and dashed towards Caesar with a blade. Caesar attempted to swing the flaming sword at the silver thief, but Gatwick was too quick, slashing the young knight in the face.
"This sword..." Caesar thought. "It is too heavy."
Gatwick knew something was wrong, but the thought distracted him.
Gatwick appeared beside the young prodigy, and Caesar went to another slash, grazing the thief's mask but receiving a blow to the knee.
"Okay?" Caesar thought.
Gatwick raced towards Caesar, his blade lined up for another attack. But suddenly, the prodigy laughed in the thief's face. Gatwick's heart stopped as fear stepped in.
"GOT YOU," Caesar whispered as his right eye glowed brighter.
Suddenly, Gatwick was in the sky, falling to the clouds as a force pushed him forward. Joining him was a lot of rubble, charred from Caesar's flames and commanded by his power.
"He wasn't aiming for me. He was aiming to break the battlefield into controllable rubble, but for what?"
Caesar gripped his two weapons tightly, took a deep breath, and leapt towards the stones. As he stepped on the pieces of rubble, the force accelerated him towards his opponent. Caesar flew past Gatwick, who looked confused.
"Again," Caesar said.
He leapt off another piece of rubble, and another, which accelerated him, but he always missed Gatwick.
"Again."
And as Caesar stepped on 3, 6, 12 boulders, his speed increased, and Gatwick barely managed to dodge by a hair's breadth.
Caesar would land on one of the rubble and get propelled towards Gatwick, allowing his body to travel by itself.
As Caesar continued to ricochet through the orbits of stones, his movements began to overlap as the blue flame sword grew tenfold in size, and Gatwick saw hundreds of the young knight's afterimages.
"We can win this." Caesar thought as a faint halo appeared on his head.
