Next day, Kaito woke up from his bed and saw Ryu sleeping on the desk right beside him. Kaito noticed Ryu's dumb face snoring.
Kaito gently woke up from his place and stood up. He stood still and fell into his thoughts. He felt a presence someone was keeping a eye on him.
He felt the presence everywhere, it was silent and mysterious. Kaito went out towards the hallway. He started walking towards the lockers. He stood near his locker and was ready to open it but stood still.
He felt the light, which came through the window. He stood still and felt the warmth. Kaito gently opened his locker. It smelled like camphor. Kaito took out his clothes and wore it. He felt cozy and fresh.
Kaito came out and saw Ryu rushing towards the hallway. Ryu kept running here and there. Ryu's eyes struck on a student walking towards the arena. He held his collar in rush. The student had no time to react and he got struck with Ryu's presence all of a sudden.
"Where…is…Kaito?" asked Ryu while giving an evil smile towards the poor student. The student saw the face and started sweating he fell down and said "I… I don't know! Let me go!"
Ryu's smile dropped and he left the student on the ground and rushed towards the east side of the dojo. Kaito tried to be sneaky and tried to go out but he bumps into a strong person. It was Sasaki Noru.
Noru's eyes widened and he grasped Kaito's shoulder tightly and said "Where the hell are you going? Aren't you supposed to be on the bed?" Noru's grip tightened, Kaito fell down on his knees due to the immense pain and pressure on his shoulder.
Kaito gave shrieks in pain and holds Noru's hand and said "I'm fine… I just woke up fine. Let me go." Noru leaves his hand of Kaito's shoulder and suddenly grabs Kaito's collar and starts to dag him.
Kaito tries to resist it but fails and Noru's grip is insanely strong. Kaito holds Noru's hand everything went silent. Noru slowly moves his head towards Kaito and said "Are you serious?" Kaito smiles and tries to gently move Noru's hand away but fails again and Noru drags him more roughly this time and says "I knew that you would use your shadow energy to restrain or damage my muscles to loosen my grip from you. You tried to steal my energy from the muscles… good tactics yet I except something smarter from a student like you…" Noru suddenly feels odd and looks back. Kaito already escaped from Noru.
"I already stole your shadow energy when you held my shoulder I tried to pretend that I was weak. I just knew that if I tried to escape now I might get caught. So I waited you to be rough so that I could steal more energy and escape for good." Kaito said while standing in front of Noru.
Kaito held his katana and vanished. Noru smiled and said "A cunning brat like you. I expect more from you. Something waits in you."
Kaito came towards the market place and spots Cassandra from a distance. She was there buying some Spionch Leaves. (A type of leaf from a twenty year old Spionch Tree. The leaves give healing properties and flavor for food.)
The vendor gives her the Spionch Leaves and a small handful packet of bird seeds. Kaito walks towards the corner and waits there and takes a peek. He gets confused as he never saw Cassandra with a bird.
Cassandra whistles, she kept whistling in a tune. A small sparrow came towards her and sat down her right hand. Cassandra smiled towards it and told the vendor to put some seeds on her other hand. The vendor poured some seeds on her hands and kept looking at the sparrow with a spark in his eyes.
She moved her hand towards the sparrow and the sparrow gave a chirp and started eating the seeds. Kaito looking from afar saw that and was shocked as he saw Cassandra as strong, no soft spot for others except Yosaku.
Kaito started walking away and deeper down the alleys of the market. He spot a stall, it was new and tidy. They were serving soups and various rice dishes.
Kaito took out his small sack as size of his fist out from his pocket and opened it. He saw only coins and few almonds and cashews were in the sack. Kaito took out a cashew and ate it.
Kaito walked towards the west side of the market expecting an exit over there. As he walked closer he got hungry. He looked here and there and saw no food stalls. He realized that he was in the west armory side. Kaito looked down his pocket and found an almond. He ate the almond and walked away.
As he was moving he bumped into a person. He was wearing a fur coat and was carrying horns. The person said "There is a person in that alley waiting for you. He is wearing a cotton wresting outfit. He is buffed up and is carrying some boxes."
Kaito grew curiousness but was having a doubt that the person may be Ryu due to the description by the person. Kaito stood there for a while and thought to check it out. Kaito walked inside the alley and it was dark filled with designs and dust.
He walked towards a wall. The wall was filled with art and it was about Ryuzaki Dojo. Kaito held his katana and felt a sudden presence he swung the katana at the direction where the presence was. A dark figure almost tall as Ryu blocked his attack his elbow. Kaito saw the dark figure take a stance. The dark figure punched Kaito and Kaito didn't have any time to react and Kaito was thrown towards the wall. Kaito saw his vision getting blurry as the dark figure approaches towards him.
