Power Ranking Part 3: Detailed Chakra Beast Classification and Physiology!

Hey there,

It's Seigan here!

I am here with another power ranking. And today, we will talk about the chakra beasts, including their physiology, evolution condition, elemental affinities, and the legend of their emergence.

Please be aware that this power ranking won't include the description of the summoning beasts or nature beasts, only chakra beasts.

Yup, the violent chakra beasts that attack humans like hysterical mad punks.

So, without further ado, let's dive straight into the details.

-------------------------------------------

Chakra Beasts: Origin

Nobody knows the exact origin of the chakra beasts. But there were many stories and legends around it.

One of the most popular legends says that when the Sage of Six Paths distributed chakra to all living beings around the world to create a world where everyone could get along harmoniously and understand each other's hearts, many animals that failed to develop proper intelligence and emotions mutated into chakra beasts.

Since it happened tens of thousands of years ago, it is hard to find any written or inherited information about it. Even legends and myths are scarce.

However, the ninja world isn't idle.

Through various tests and experiments, knowledgeable folks of the Shinobi continent discovered some clues.

According to the research, the thing that separates the rational summoning or nature beasts from the ferocious chakra beasts is the ability to utilize nature energy early on.

In the mutated beasts, nature can only accelerate growth speed and strength accumulation, but it also induces early wisdom and emotions.

Unfortunately, the chakra beast species never learned to harness natural energy and underwent violent mutations that warped their perception.

Even though many chakra beasts gained human-like intelligence when they crossed the threshold of A or AA-rank, their previous behavior and vicious nature didn't change. They just became smarter and more cunning, using their newfound intelligence to carry out efficient slaughter in the pursuit of evolution.

It's like giving a serial killer a higher level of IQ and EQ. Their warped nature won't change. But they will become even more dangerous to society, as they will start killing more efficiently, without leaving any traceable evidence, making it even harder to identify and catch them.

Chakra Beasts: General Physiology

A chakra beast's raw physical prowess is usually far higher than a ninja of the same rank. For example, in a head-on physical clash without chakra utilization, even the weakest C-rank chakra beast may crush average Chunin-level ninjas.

According to the latest research results and combat tests:

1: A chakra beast's muscle and bone density is far higher than that of humans. And with each subsequent rank evolution, it only increases further.

2: Unlike humans, who need to go through long-term, careful chakra infusion training to see noticeable changes, the chakra beasts go through the chakra infusion process from the moment of their birth. Thanks to that, each tissue, nerve, organ, and bone in their bodies has been flooded with chakra, making their bodies and senses many times stronger, sharper, and sturdier than those of average ninjas.

3: On average, a chakra beast has at least two to three times more chakra than an average ninja of the same rank.

4: For some unknown reason, a chakra beast can only use one chakra nature transformation or element throughout its life, unless they go through extremely rare mutations. In most cases, when a chakra beast acquires an additional chakra nature transformation, the new element merges with the old element to create a mutated element. For example, if an A-rank Rending Earth Bear attains lightning element in addition to its natural earth element, both elements will go through mutation in a few months and transform into the metal or steel element, which may also lead to a rank evolution. In short, among chakra beasts, having more than one inherent element is incredibly rare, and usually it only appears in higher-ranked chakra beasts.

5: Chakra beasts have incredibly potent vitality, which only grows with each evolution. Leaving the demon-type chakra beasts aside, an average A-rank chakra beast can recover severe lacerations within a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the species.

6: The vitality of the demon-type and bipedal chakra beasts is incredibly high. For example, a B-rank or higher rank demon-type chakra beast won't die even if their heart is pierced. The best ways to kill them are to cut them in half, decapitate them, or destroy their brain.

7: In most cases, an A-rank or higher-tier chakra beast has a chakra core in its body. The core significantly enhances their chakra capacity, chakra control, chakra recovery speed, and firepower.

 Chakra Beast Rank Evaluation

I know we have already talked about chakra beast classification. And you already know what level of combat power a ninja should have to deal with them without suffering casualties in general.

For example, an average Chunin can reliably and safely defeat an average C-rank chakra beast, as long as the ninja doesn't make some stupid mistake or the chakra beast doesn't have a highly favorable condition or environment.

But that's just bare bones.

So, let's have a deeper discussion about the chakra beasts. Here, we will discuss and evaluate each chakra beast rank in detail.

✅E-rank Chakra Beasts:

This is the lowest rank among chakra beasts. However, even a single E-rank chakra beast can pose danger to those who haven't unlocked their chakra yet.

E-rank chakra beasts are either juveniles of higher-tier creatures or very weak species with the lowest-tier bloodlines. Because of that, these beasts usually can't use any innate skills or elemental power.

E-rank chakra beasts mostly rely on the brute force of their physical body to attack, defend, and hunt for prey.

Although they are very dangerous to humans, a group of three or four healthy adults can still kill one of them with proper weapons. With a powerful bow and sharp arrows, even a single adult hunter who hasn't unlocked chakra can kill them with precise shots.

Danger Evaluation of E-rank Chakra Beasts According to Shinobi Standard: An average third-year academy student of the regular classes can safely eliminate them.

✅D-rank Chakra Beasts:

The next evolution of the E-rank chakra beasts. Once a chakra beast attains the D-rank, it can finally master and release their innate skills.

D-rank chakra beasts have stronger bodies, more chakra, and better intrinsic chakra control than their E-rank counterparts. They have also mastered their only chakra nature affinity to a basic level, allowing them to release their innate skills.

However, at this rank, most only have one innate skill in their arsenal. Only the chakra beasts with a higher-ranked bloodline or those who are offspring of A-level or higher may have more than one innate skill at this level.

Still, even with all these improvements, most D-rank chakra beasts are treated like cannon fodder within a group of chakra beasts with an Elite C-rank or higher-tier leader.

Regular humans with no chakra cannot deal with these chakra beasts.

Danger Evaluation of D-rank Chakra Beasts According to Shinobi Standard: An average Genin can safely eliminate them.

✅C-rank Chakra Beasts:

C-rank chakra beasts are moderately strong creatures, generally considered to be mid-tier among the chakra beast population. Most chakra beasts, with enough resources, battle experience, and hunting, can reach this level in their lifetime.

C-rank chakra beasts are at least twice as strong in terms of physical strength, agility, and defense compared to the peak-level D-rank chakra beasts. Once a D-rank chakra beast evolves to become a C-rank one, its chakra capacity, quality, and control also improve drastically.

At this level, chakra beasts become smart enough to organize and lead a small group of creatures of the same or similar species. But they are still inherently feral and act on instincts, making it difficult for them to organize and lead a group of more than thirty chakra beasts.

Danger Evaluation of C-rank Chakra Beasts According to Shinobi Standard: An average Chunin can safely eliminate them.

✅B-rank Chakra Beasts:

B-rank is the watershed level of evolution of a chakra beast. This is the first tier, where a chakra beast that usually does things instinctively gains a minimal level of intelligence, setting it apart from its mindless, lower-ranked counterparts.

In most cases, mature B-ranked chakra beasts gain intelligence and emotions equal to a human infant. But their combat intelligence receives a significant boost.

Its flesh, organs, and overall physique improve again, so do its chakra capacity, quality, and control. Thanks to their immense vitality, the natural lifespan of B-rank chakra beasts increases by at least twice or thrice as much as their C-rank counterpart of the same species.

Their bodies become as hard as rock, and their claws swipe that tear stones like tofu. At this level, they can develop more than five innate skills, along with wide-area annihilation skills that are extremely lethal to Chunin and Genin-level ninjas.

(Forget about the wide-area annihilation innate skills for a second. In a head-on battle, an average Chunin with no special jutsu, bloodline, Kekkei Genkai, or prodigious combat power will be killed within a few seconds with a slap of their chakra-reinforced paws.)

Any ninja below Special Jonin level is advised to flee on sight and report to the village higher-ups.

Danger Evaluation of B-rank Chakra Beasts According to Shinobi Standard: An average Jonin can safely eliminate them.

✅A-rank Chakra Beasts:

Yet another major tier for the chakra beasts. At A-rank, the chakra beasts formed the first chakra core that helped them store, replenish, and transform their chakra to aid them in high-speed combat.

At this level, their physique goes through another huge leap. Chakra quality jumps up.

More importantly, their chakra core automatically transforms their chakra into their inherent elements, allowing them to release their innate skills faster and with greater control over their damage output.

As a result, they can easily overwhelm most Jonin-level ninja in close combat situations. They can even disrupt human combatants before they can form their hand seals to release their ninjutsu.

Most major villages advise forming a team of at least two Jonin-level ninjas with above-average combat power when dealing with a single A-rank chakra beast. On top of that, only the ninjas who can release supercharged C-rank ninjutsu or powerful single-target B-rank ninjutsu with one or two hand seals are advised to take on chakra beasts of this danger level.

When a B-rank chakra beast evolves to this tier, it may acquire another chakra nature or elemental affinity, though the chances are abysmal (And we mean 0.00001% kind of abysmal).

In most cases of receiving an additional elemental affinity, the chakra beasts simply go through another mutation and form a new element.

For example, an A-rank Fire Demon may acquire Earth elemental affinity and mutate to become an A-rank Lava Demon with incredible mastery over fire and lava elements.

Danger Evaluation of A-rank Chakra Beasts According to Shinobi Standard: Needs at least 2 top-tier Jonin or one Elite Jonin to eliminate them safely.
