"Ah, so you're Ms. Yancey. It's a pleasure to meet you," Isaac said politely, nodding his head in greeting. "I've heard so much about you. Now that I have the honor of meeting you in person, I must say that your reputation precedes you."
A look of delight crossed Nash's face, and her eyes lit up. "Mr. Middleton, you've heard about me?"
"The beauty of the ladies of the Yancey family is well-known across Fairlake. It would be impossible for me not to hear of you." The words of praise came easily to Isaac's lips. "My grandfather had intended to arrange a marriage for me with the Yancey family. Unfortunately, my heart belongs elsewhere. Thus, I have no choice but to leave such matters to my brothers."
Nash fixed her gaze on Isaac's staggeringly handsome face with increasing delight. "Mr. Middleton, are your brothers as handsome as you? If they are, then an arranged marriage doesn't sound like a bad idea."
