Chapter 292 - Resurrecting Riveria's Mother

"Are you ready?"

That night, right after dinner, Riveria came to the door and explained her purpose, saying that she had prepared all the information about her mother, Clarice.

"It's all here. Leon, I'm counting on you."

Riveria solemnly handed a book that wasn't too thick to Leon. Leon took it and immediately began to read it.

Riveria took a deep breath as she watched him begin to read, and then said, "Well then, Leon, once you've finished reading and are confident, please let me know."

"No need for that, just give me an hour."

Leon looked up at Riveria and said.

"Really?"

Leon's words made Riveria a little excited.

If possible, she hoped to see her mother as soon as possible.

She had never seen her mother since she left Alf's Royal Forest.

Hephaestus said, her voice filled with emotion, "I was very surprised when I learned that the members of the Astraea Familia were resurrected by Leon. I was wondering who would ask Leon for help in this kind of situation next. I never expected it to be you."

"Speaking of which, when I descended to the mortal realm, the Zeus Familia and the Hera Familia had already grown up and were even more powerful than the Freya Familia is now."

"I've heard about your mother before, but I've never met her."

Leon and Riveria's conversation did not stop Hephaestus and the others.

Hestia, Hephaestus, and Tsubaki were right beside her at this moment.

Leon did not hide the fact that he had the ability to resurrect others from Hephaestus and Tsubaki.

"I didn't expect that your mother was a member of the Hera Familia, Riveria. That's quite surprising." Tsubaki also spoke up, looking at Riveria with great surprise.

She really didn't know about this. After all, given her age, it was impossible for her to know about something that had happened fifty years ago.

"When the Astraea Familia returned and I learned that Leon had this ability, I wanted to ask him for help." Riveria replied with a smile and a nod.

Hestia, standing to the side, didn't say anything. She simply leaned on Leon's shoulder and read the memoir that Riveria had brought with her.

Leon ignored the three of them, and instead focused on reading the memoir to learn about Riveria's mother, Clarice's, past.

Riveria and the other two didn't disturb Leon, they went to the side and talked quietly.

Time passed little by little, and soon an hour had gone by.

Leon closed the memoir.

Riveria, who had been watching the situation closely, immediately stood up and looked at him.

"Leon, how is it?" She asked nervously.

"No problem." Leon nodded with a smile.

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Upon hearing Leon's reply, Riveria's eyes lit up, and she excitedly made the request.

"No rush, there's one more thing to do before resurrecting your mother." Leon shook his head slightly as he looked at the excited Riveria.

"What is it?" Riveria asked quickly.

"Prepare a cloak and a set of clothes." Leon said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, everyone present was taken aback, but they quickly came to their senses and understood what Leon meant.

"I have some in my room, I'll go get it." Hestia said, jumping off Leon's side before quickly leaving the reception room.

She was short, but many of her clothes were loose-fitting, so even people much taller than her could wear them. She also kept items like cloaks.

"Thank you."

Watching Hestia rush out of the reception room, Riveria was slightly taken aback, then stammered her thanks.

Hestia soon returned with the clothes and cloak.

"Here."

She handed the clothes to Riveria. Riveria quickly took them and then looked at Leon.

Leon understood Riveria's meaning and activated the Sephiroth Graal, thus resurrecting Riveria's mother.

Just like when he had resurrected Alise and the others, this time there was only a ball of light.

Seeing the ball of light appear out of nowhere, Riveria's breathing quickened slightly. She knew that the ball of light must be her mother.

"Once the ball of light disappears, your mother should be resurrected. Well then, to avoid an awkward situation later, I'll take my leave first." Leon glanced at the ball of light, then turned to Riveria and said.

"Thank you." Riveria nodded quickly in gratitude.

"Then we'll leave this place to you, Riveria. We'll be leaving now." Hephaestus said with a smile.

Hestia and Tsubaki shared the same idea.

"Okay, thank you." Riveria nodded again.

The four of them then left the reception room together, leaving it to Riveria.

"Leon, you're quite skilled. When you resurrected the Astraea Familia, you must have seen Alise and the others naked, right?" Tsubaki said with a mischievous grin as they walked down the corridor.

Hestia and Hephaestus both looked toward Leon.

In response, Leon shrugged slightly and sighed softly, "That was a coincidence, I didn't know it would turn out that way. When you resurrect someone for the first time, you have no idea what will happen."

"Leon is a womanizer." Hestia raised an eyebrow, a wicked smile on her face.

"You've completely let yourself go now, Hestia. You're not jealous at all." Hephaestus, standing to the side, looked at Hestia with a strange expression.

Hearing Hephaestus's words, Hestia rolled her eyes and said unhappily, "It's not like I'm easily jealous. Don't forget, I was the one who gave you a push on purpose."

"Yes, yes."

Meanwhile, in the reception room, Riveria stood before the ball of light. Her face was calm, but her heart was pounding, and she couldn't calm down.

To be honest, she didn't know how to face her mother. After all, her mother had left Alf's Royal Forest when she was in her twenties, and she hadn't seen her for eighty years.

At first, she harbored resentment, blaming her mother for abandoning her for so many years and never coming back. However, after she decided to leave Alf's Royal Forest herself, she gradually understood why her mother had made that choice.

When she learned that her mother had been a member of the Hera Familia and had disappeared in the dungeon decades ago, her world collapsed.

After that, in order to follow in her mother's path, she chose to remain in Orario, both to grow stronger and to search for her whereabouts.

More than twenty years later, she finally found a clue. Although her mother had perished in the dungeon, she was fortunate enough to encounter Leon, who possessed the ability to resurrect others.

Upon learning of Leon's abilities, she immediately prepared to ask for help, even at the cost of everything. She had been prepared to pay a heavy price, but she never expected Leon to agree so easily, asking for almost nothing in return.

She was surprised and because of that, her impression of Leon improved even further, and a subtle change began to take place in her heart. She was deeply grateful to Leon for giving her the chance to reunite with her mother.

"Mother… after decades, what will it be like when we meet again?" Riveria murmured softly as she gently touched the ball of light.

Riveria stood quietly before it for several minutes.

Finally, the ball of light began to change. It slowly dissipated from top to bottom, revealing the figure within.

Upon seeing the familiar face emerging, Riveria's breathing quickened once more.

"Mother!"

As her voice rang out, the ball of light faded even faster. In about ten seconds, it completely disappeared, revealing the figure inside.

After seeing the figure clearly, Riveria finally understood why Leon had left so quickly. If he had stayed, it would have been extremely awkward for both of them.

Riveria quickly draped the prepared cloak over the figure. At that moment, the green-haired elf, who had been keeping her eyes closed, slowly opened them.

The familiar face that entered her vision made the resurrected elven woman exclaim unconsciously, "Riveria?"

The familiar voice made Riveria tremble, but she forced herself to remain calm as she spoke, "It's been a long time, mother."

"It really is Riveria. Wait… didn't I die?"

Upon hearing Riveria's voice, Clarice felt a brief moment of joy as her mind, which had just restarted, began to function again.

However, she quickly realized something was wrong and looked down at her body in astonishment.

She clearly remembered sacrificing her life to seal the giant monster egg, using an elven sealing array.

So why was she still alive? And how was she seeing Riveria? What exactly had happened?

"Mother, let me explain everything."

Seeing her mother's confusion, Riveria let out a soft sigh and began to explain.

Clarice calmed herself and listened quietly.

As Riveria gave a brief account of the past decades, Clarice's eyes gradually brightened.

"That's how it is. This time, I asked Leon to revive you. Mother, we should go thank him later."

After finishing, Riveria looked at her seriously.

However, Clarice didn't seem to hear that part at all. Instead, she looked at Riveria with shining eyes.

"Riveria, such an outstanding male elf… have you won him over yet?" Clarice said excitedly, placing her hands on Riveria's shoulders.

"???"

Riveria froze for a moment.

Then, in the next instant—

"Mother!!!"
