The rank 8 monster's roar thundered like thousands of lightning bolts exploding at once, shaking the entire riverbank until the roots of the stunted trees trembled violently and dry leaves flew everywhere like black rain. The dimensional rift above the river widened savagely, its dark purple-black light blazing like an open wound from hell, spewing poisonous wind that stung the nose with the thick metallic stench of blood and sulfur. The once-clear river had completely vanished, replaced by a swirling vortex of thick black poisonous water that churned wildly. Every splash corroded the grass, stones, and even the air with a horrifying SPLASHHH SSSSSTTT!, leaving trails of rising black smoke.
