It was finally done, and the famous scene had been checked off as well. While he rested, the two support units behind him finally arrived, and a small hand of light reached out from the edge of the Rift to yank a soul back. "Fate Sharded. It is really finished, but there is something different. It is not completely dead, and they deliberately left behind a seed."
"Enough, stop talking. I know that already, which is why this is what I am going to do next." She smiled faintly, kneaded the Ham in her hand into a small ball, and casually tossed her into the nearby Floating City. She then glanced at the enormous Rift, her brow twitching slightly.
Belial's Red Lotus Dragon had not blasted a Rift directly through the surface of the world. At the critical moment, someone had hurriedly sliced it open and redirected it elsewhere. "I still underestimated it a bit, but luckily I was watching nearby."
Otherwise, if the aftermath of that Red Lotus Dragon had spread to other regions, the direct damage alone would have been unbearable. The radiation and special electromagnetic fields would have been even more troublesome. By a rough estimate, the power of that breath could have run a marathon along a planet's equator, and the result was not something she wanted to imagine.
"But this is not over yet." "Once this job is done, I am retiring."
Muttering softly, she took the initiative to leap down into the interlayer leading to the Void of the Abyss. She became a gentle streak of light, chasing after the red glow carrying flecks of golden Shard. It was precisely that Red Lotus Dragon which, under overwhelming energy and destructive lightning, had forced Fate's body to repeatedly break apart and reform, yet remain firmly trapped.
"Roar… urgh!" The screams came almost without pause, but no matter how much it reformed, it was useless. In the end, only half a neck and a head remained, bitten by Red Lotus Dragon and dragged toward the bottomless dead land of the Abyss.
That ancient, undying symbol of the Wheel of Fate began to turn into ash from its edges, then burst into a red-glowing Rift and completely shattered. There had been struggle, but no matter how it replaced Fate and timelines, or searched for substitutes, it was all meaningless. This outcome simply did not exist within predetermined Fate.
So how could it be avoided? Even absolute foresight could only predict what must exist or already existed. It could never predict something that did not exist in the world at all. An existence with no connection to Fate whatsoever used overwhelming power to smash this abomination into complete Shard.
Fate was completely annihilated within the Void. Yet Red Lotus Dragon did not stop, piercing onward through thick blood-red clouds and through a sky woven of resentment and darkness. It then plunged into another realm, one that truly lacked matter and space, where only shattered Laws and countless resentments filled the Void, and exploded there.
On the opposite side of the world's surface, within the Void of the Abyss, a crimson star was lit. Using that moment, a discordant beam of light slipped in as well. Dawn had never imagined she would one day voluntarily set foot in this place, the dead land she had once desperately concealed and suppressed, only to return after countless years.
Fortunately, she was only here as a coordinate and did not need to be imprisoned again. The reason was simple, this was truly not finished yet. The plan had gone smoothly, and the Fate controlled by the enemy had shattered many Fate threads to gain more power, but both that price and the instigator had been swallowed by Red Lotus Dragon.
Fate was almost completely shattered, which was the first desired result. The second was the complete collapse of Authority. After the great web of Fate was violently torn apart, its destruction was inevitable. That had been expected.
Reality, however, was never as pleasant as imagined. Those Crimson God were only clowns when facing a specific individual. Most of the time, they were terrifying Evil God who acted madly, employed unfathomable methods, and ravaged the world's surface. Where was Edward, the puppet used to manipulate Fate? Where could he be hidden so securely that even Belial believed him dead and could not find him?
Of course, he was right here, in her hands. Within the Abyss, that soul was still tightly gripped by the Evil God. Given time, with just that single seed, the Fate that had been nailed into its coffin might crawl back out. She was tired of this farce of enemies dying and reviving again and again, so this was what she had come to do, to bury this hidden danger completely.
At the same time, she would give those troublemaking Crimson God a hard slap in the face. "You are here already."
She smiled as the local the Lord noticed her arrival. Along with the sounds of blades, spears, and steel clashing, and the emergence of countless scars, the being here revealed its identity. Within the Abyss, an immeasurably vast form manifested, its enormous Rend mouth and eyes staring fixedly at the light that had long irritated them.
Since she had come, she would not be allowed to leave. It could not reach into the Prime World to cause chaos, but on its own territory, killing her should have been easy. Thinking of the heavy losses suffered earlier only made it angrier, and countless battlefields, wreckage, and weapons formed a gaping maw to swallow her.
She calmly raised her head and looked up at the endless Void. After seeing that glimmer of golden light, she smiled. "Perfect, everyone is here."
She turned without hesitation and raised a clearly emphasized middle finger at the monstrous thing in front of her. "You piece of trash." "Eat orbital bombardment."
Elsewhere, time shifted. Belial was lying down to rest when his communication space rang again. He glanced at it and saw it was a member of the team, so he casually accepted the call.
"What is it now?" "I am here to remind you that the true mastermind behind this is not dead yet. Its main body is somewhere else."
"What?" Belial opened his mouth on the spot, molten magma dripping from the corners as confusion filled his head, followed by anger. "What are these things anyway? Why is killing them once not enough? Why can they not just stay dead!"
"This is really annoying." "That is right, I am annoyed too, so I came to help."
"I will open a passage for you in a moment. You will see a coordinate, and I will also send you some power remotely as support." "When the time comes, just aim there and fire."
At that moment, she stood on a mountain, talking on the phone while forcefully pulling the magnificent Holy Sword up just a little. A massive pillar of light soared into the sky, and radiant Holy Light flickered across every church statue for an instant. Behind the chapel of Daylight, the mountains shone so brightly that it was painful to look at.
The sky once again revealed a strange vision, as if a second brilliant sun rose from the central region. Unlike the earlier mere imprint, this time it was the true power of the Holy Sword. It was a safeguard mechanism designed specifically for the Abyss, reflecting a fragment of the world's complete rules.
Now, expanded by an existence close to the divine, that vast rule-bound light shot straight into the heavens. In an instant, it pierced space, ignored distance and time, and converged on a hellish battlefield. Like a tide, it poured into the spines on Belial's back.
He felt warm all over, as if every cell had been thoroughly pampered. Compared to the raw power flowing in, another special sensation felt even more important. "It is this feeling again. It really is something new."
Golden light spread across his body, and Belial looked around. What he saw was no longer just material surfaces, but deeper layers beneath, as if the world were covered by a thin shadow of light. He briefly returned to that almost omnipotent divine state he once held in the city, but now it was even stronger.
With just a light wave of his hand, the high-temperature hell that still troubled the distant Floating City group vanished instantly. With a little thought and adjustment of a few key points, the disasters caused by the great battle reversed as if nothing had happened. He also noticed another phenomenon, as Fate collapsed, the lingering effects of the battle likewise returned to normal at the causal level.
Those were minor matters. The important thing was to finish off that corpse-playing piece of trash. Since he had finally received supplies from a teammate, it was time to complete the task. "A coordinate inside that Rift? Where did that come from… wait, there really is one."
He rubbed his eyes. In the depths of the boundless Void, there truly was a faint point of light, distinct from darkness and natural glow. With no reason to hesitate, he opened his mouth.
There was no obvious movement, only rippling light in his eyes. Strange visions appeared around him as his wings spread, forming resplendent wings of light stretching to the horizon. In this state, he could almost instantly enter that extreme burning form again.
