Gulp… gulp… gulp….
Jaden Redmar lay on a couch, watching the seaside scenery in a distant, almost confused mood.
For a while now, after the war, he felt complicated in his heart, as if he didn't know what to do anymore. His two closest friends were Enrick and Thorian. They were both busy with their own things, caught up in the imperial drama.
Compared to the treacherous lives of the two princes, his life was much smoother, without any worry or tension about fighting to become the heir of his house.
He had been Heir of the Redmar family since pretty much the age he could understand things.
There was no drama between his parents, no one trying to backstab one another, or the Elders of the Redmar house fighting for power, scheming in the dark, nothing.
Even the Redmar family's relationship with the Blackvale Royal Family was very good.
